Hey Miss Makayla I get so excited when I see that you have uploaded a new video. Your progress has been great on everything. Do you have set days you work on things or just pick up whatever you feel like that day/hour :) I especially love your tille cardigan it's so lovely and the yarn you picked really shows off the pattern on the back. As far as requests I love Q & A videos or maybe a show your stash and possible plans with said stash. But maybe do two episodes? One for your yarn stash and one for your fabric stash... I'm a collector of both so I love looking at others too. I would LOVE a garden tour too!!! Happy weekend to you. See you next week -Jenn

Aw thank you so much!! I don't typically have set days or times, but I do try my best to get a few rows in on each project each day. Sock knitting typically follows me outside of the house, to keep me company. And I usually pick something that's pretty mindless for TV knitting in the evening. But other than that, it's just whatever I feel like working on! 😊 Thanks for the video requests!

Put a TP roll on the ball winder first. You’ll be able to get it off. Idea- Also when knitting double, put each ball on a straight needle poke through the sides of a show box for easy flow when knitting. Poor girls lazy Kate for spinning and plying the singles. 😉

I use cardboard roll also. Cut it length-wise to fit the ball winder shaft, then tape together.

My first time of watching your podcast and it is so refreshing. I love the yarn colours and patterns you favour and will be watching more. Envying your weather, here in the UK almost every day is a rainy one at the moment, hopefully brighter days ahead. Thankyou for brightening up my morning x😊

I used to get canker sores frequently; when I starting eating gluten free, I haven’t had one since

Mikaela, You are so inspiring ❤️ I bought the Reset cardigan pattern and am now looking for yarn to make it. I'm also knitting the Rivage tee and have plans to knitting the Summer top that you knit last summer with the lace bottom edge. Now you showed the Vilma top and just added to my list. What a great layering piece!! I know I'm a different size and probably double your age, but the projects you pick are appealing and timeless. Love your Videos.

Your color palette is so pretty with your coloring. The Alpine Bloom is going to be dreamy!! I do not recommend winding the skeins together, you will likely end up with a twisted mess that you won't ever have the patience to unravel!! Toilet paper roll will likely solve the too tight on the ball winder situation.

@@sugarfolkhomemade - You look great in colours and if it makes you happy then go for it :D I often wish I had more colourful clothes 😅 It's really is like the grass is greener on the other side.. 🙃 However I'm slowly moving away from all the black clothes as it breaks and replacing it with a colour, because it's so much more fun :D

Hello again from Ireland, I love your finished items and your works in progress, I especially love the colours that you choose for ypur projects, the yarn that you used for your shawl is so pretty, I would think that it needs to be knit up in a large garmet to see its beauty maybe a Summer vest or top of some kind.

Hi Makayla, if just before bed, dry your mouth with a few inward breaths, then pack some baking soda over your canker sore, and go to bed. I take some with me to bed so I can repack my mouth , and in the morning is so much better.❤

Oh thanks for the tip! That's one I've not tried. I typically just do saltwater rinses. I haven't been getting them as often as I used to. I recently went gluten free thanks to some digestive issues, and I've always heard that mouth sores could be a reflection of stomach upset. Not sure if that's true but since going gluten free & getting that under control, I get them way less 🙌

Can’t wait for the garden tour!.. I’ve always wanted to try to wind double, but been scared to.. plus I think you would need two swifts in order to make it work 🤔🤷🏻‍♀️
@sugarfolkhomemade
@sugarfolkhomemade Месяц назад
Yes I think the double winding would actually be more work than worth haha and the risk of it becoming a mess seems too high. 😬 I think I'll just hunker down and take the time to wind them separately.

I sure enjoy your podcast! You are authentic and always interesting. I think you shouldn't frog the habitation jacket. At least put it in hibernation for a while and maybe you'll reconsider this fall. It's so gorgeous already and just looks like you. You could be intentional in thrifting underlayers that would work. Or maybe a gift?

Hello, I got so excited when I saw you posted another video. I've binged watched all your videos so now I just have to wait till you post. I have a question for you. How do you organize your time to be able to knit so many different projects? I need some help with doing this. I want to knit so many things but just find it difficult to do so. Teach me guru 😊
@sugarfolkhomemade
@sugarfolkhomemade Месяц назад
Aww thank you ☺️☺️☺️ Id be lying if I said it didn't overwhelm me at times 😆 but for the most part I typically have 1-2 projects that I consider priority (ones I want finished quickly) and during the day I try to knit a good amount on those. And then in the evenings when I'm naturally a bit slower I will work on my other wips. I typically will only work on a single project for about 45 minutes at a time, and then I like to switch. It helps my hands and I don't get bored. And for sock projects, that's what I always take with me on the go! I will work on them at home occasionally but typically they are solely car knitting or "hanging out" knitting.

Hi, Makayla, First time here and I am enjoying your presentation. 😺 When you switched sweaters your dress really got my attention__would you mind sharing whether you made it(and the pattern, etc.), or is it something that you purchased(and, where)? Thank you in advance for you kind response. 💖🙌😺 PS__With re: to your ranunculus, it seems you got the yarn you're using from Hobby Lobby. Also, I hope you read this before you get too much further__because the neck opening 'seems to be' too small for a summer knit, and acrylic yarn cannot be 'blocked'. 😛💖🙌😺

Thank you! The dress I'm wearing is from Amazon. It is one of my favorites as the fit is very flattering. Here's the link! OSTOO Women's 2024 Summer Boho... www.amazon.com/dp/B09X9VD1CB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share My ranunculus does look tiny 🤣, but I have tried it on and it stretches nicely over my head and it *seems* promising that once I get the armholes completed, it will pull the yoke down. That's my hope anyway 😆 I've had decent luck in the past with stretching acrylic, it just doesn't go back to its original state like wool would. Which in this case would be ok, I think. I am a bit weary of it though so as soon as I separate for sleeves I will try it on again and make sure it's working before continuing! Thanks for noticing!
