Love your makes too, thr greens are beautiful 😊 I knit on the train and often people will ask what I'm making which is nice. I was knitting at an airport once and a lady came over to ask if I had any issues with get through security with my needles which I hadn't so she was encouraged to bring her knitting on her next trip. I love to see people doing crafts outdoors or in public places, definitely something to encourage.

In Finland knitting is really popular so most people are used to seeing knitters in public but I've experienced what you described in Italy, people are quite bewildered by it! Though some old people have even come up to me saying it's so nice to see young people interested in handcrafts.

Always go up a needle size with colourwork. Soak in tepid water after knitting. It will bloom. Blocking only is temporary.

I think the fit will be fine with blocking. You could go back to the underarm and go up for the next size over the bust if you want a fraction more positive ease. But I wouldn’t pull out the colourwork 💚 The cardigan is lovely

Before frogging, try wet blocking. Mostly it will enlarge horizontally! I always get that issue with sweaters. They are too short and a bit too wide 😅

Love the finished cardigan so much Martina! and the azucena in the making too! When I knit in public I usually get big smiles especially from elderly people, and some people come to chat and ask me things 😂😂❤❤

I sometimes knit at the children`s playground. And I have already seen two other people doing that. But it is still strange to knit in public. Oh, and I`ve seen someone embroidering in the train. But that`s it. It would be cool if more people did handcrafting in public to make it more common and to encourage others.

i'm pretty confident that blocking/wearing will solve the issue too 💚 and that you wouldn't even notice it, if it wasn't yours, but a friend's work 🙃 i certainly belong to the 'always more critical of myself than others' club, so it's sometimes good to imagine something not being my work and trying to see it with the generosity we have for others. but also sometimes to allow ourselves the unhinged perfectionism we crave, and unravel projects to oblivion - even when they were completely finished several times. if it feels like fun to do it all over again with even more lessons learned, that's okay too 🥰
