I was looking for your capsule wardrobe videos, I need some inspiration. It's a shame you've taken them down.

😂 I came home a couple of months ago and clean out every op shop between Tauranga and Kerikeri of their usable sewing machine threads. No op shop was left unpicked, even a day trip to Taupo had a successful thread haul and that was my souvenir shopping along with a vintage Pyrex dish I scored in Russell that I carried like a baby on my lap over several flights to get back to Perth in mint condition. It’s been such a joy to finish all of my UFOs and sew anything my heart has desired all from my fabric and thread stash these last couple of months 😅 it’s a weird sewists flex I know but I’ve got any coloured thread you could possibly need

You have been soo.. productive.Well done. I found help for sizing/ stitch numbers/gauge etc for hand knitted socks at Winwick Mum utube blog "sock calculator". I used it to help get my socks fitting me. Well worth a look. Socks are fun🙂

Hi Bayley!! Another great vlog!!! I’m so sorry to hear about Lockland’s arm, and Tobias being sick, I hope they are both better! ❤I have 3 boys 15.11,5. And we have not experienced a broken bone yet, I know that’s so scary 😢❤ hoping he heals quickly! I LOVE your green sweater in the beginning part of the video did you make that one, or do you have a link where to buy one, it’s so cute!! All of your projects look amazing! 😊 I am working on making some towels with ties at the top, a sewing project, that I found in Amish country here in the States, haven’t completed one totally, but I am still learning! 😊Thanks for all of the inspiration!! 😊❤ Kristin

Sorry to hear about the boy’s misfortunes.. you are really powering on with the knitting… I never really got the hang of it despite my mum being a good knitter… I’m much better at crochet. I think you and I were untangling threads and winding on at the same time…I was looking for a particular colour and some that I had bought in an op shop were really tangled so I spent an afternoon and evening winding them in those little cards just last week! I’ve sorted them into colours too rather than the numbers as they were all over the place. Loving watching your crafting… we had a craft show here in Rockhampton last weekend and I bought two small sashiko embroidery linens…one has dragon flys and the other a leafy /berries pattern.

Hi Bayley, I love how you’re doing lots of different crafts! Then you’ve always got something different to do, depending on how you feel! I wanted to ask what sort of sewing machine you use? I saved up and bought my machine in 1983 with my first few paychecks! But 40 years on it’s finally dying… Time to buy a new one. I’m in Australia so hoping brands would be similar to NZ.

My middle boy (I have 3) age 6.5, recently had an altercation with the couch and coffee table. The coffee table won. My boy cracked his alveolar (palate), busted up three baby teeth, and needed maxillofacial surgery (and plastics) to repare his top gum. That was fun. 😅 He's doing well and we were blessed to have one of the best trauma maxfax surgeons in Australia. 😊

Yay for circular needles! I haven't yet come across a pattern calling for DPNs that couldn't be modified for circular needles. Lately I have been using my circulars to knit little pumpkins, since autumn is finally on its way in North America! 🎃

Hi Bailey, I love your new content :) Friendly tip from fellow sewist on vintage/thrifted sewing thread- always give it the break test, if it snaps easily it has not been properly stored and should not be used

Hi Bayley , sorry for Laukie breaking his arm ...My step son broke his wrist and then after it healed after a few months he fell and broke it again ...yes it was bad luck and a fluke that it was the same spot but I have since found out that if I had given me more minerals eg magnesium , vitamin d and calcium chances are it wouldn't have broken again ...theres' a weakness there after breaks ..so nutrients are essential ...activity wise ..calm activities help heal bones ...but they are kids , happiness heals as well .

I love that you are so close to finishing that sweater. I've never attempted anything so big. I have made a sweet baby set, bonnet, cardigan and booties with fine baby wool , that was so hard for me to work on. I went on to make many chunky booties, toys, washcloths , all small projects. One day , I really want to make socks . Still not there yet. I hope his arm heals well . 🥰 Thank you for sharing the gorgeous projects ❤❤

Sorry to hear your boys being sick and injured. My daughter broke her leg when she was 3 and I was amazed at how well she cooed with it - way better than I would! Great video. I love the ghost stitch markers. They are so cute. It is so fun to see the progress on your projects especially how far you’ve come in a short amount of time with knitting. I always check for thread at thrift stores too! I would totally say and untangled the embroidery threads. I once spent 8 hours untangling the string on a dollar store lite that my kids didn’t even want but I would not let that kite win! I’m looking forward to seeing your socks and Luna embroidery over the next weeks

You are so creative!!! I'm working on Sashiko embroidery and do love it. Very meditative. I also bought some Japanese fabric ( fat quarters to make a small blanket/quilt. BTW, I love the little Japanese fabric cloth thing, would you consider sending to US if i paid the postage?? My daughter broke her arm in about 3rd grade. A very bad complicated arm break. She did well and just learned to write with her left hand. My son also had a compound break in his ankle that was serious too( playing soccer) he needed a surgery and it was wait and see since it was on his growth plate. Very nerve wracking. Fortunately, they both healed just fine. I also very glad that's all behing me.

Hi, the postage is really expensive. $30+ to send items from NZ. If I can find a cheaper option I will definitely consider it. 😊 I love how relaxing doing the sashiko stitching is - I am on the look out for another one.

All your projects look fabulous, Bayley, and it's easy to see how much you are enjoying making them 🤗. I'm sorry to hear about your boys and hope they are better really soon. Sorry I can't offer any advice about broken limbs...hasn't happened in my family. I knitted a lot of socks several years ago, starting on double-pointed knitting needles. Then I switched to a circular needle and didn't look back after that! Then I learned to make 2 socks at a time on 2 circular needles, and didn't look back after that either! I couldn't get the magic loop method to work (loop kept slipping), but 2 circulars were great. I can recommend that for your next knitting challenge, and the Crazy Sock Lady shows how to do it 🙂. 💐🙋‍♀️🇦🇺
