Knob-billed Duck (Sarkidiornis melanotos) Bird Call & Video | Comb Duck
The Knob-billed Duck (Sarkidiornis melanotos), previosuly known as the Comb Duck, is one of the strangest looking Duck and Waterbird species that can be found in the Kruger National Park. They are common, but not plentiful in the Kruger, and can be found at temporary pans and waterholes as well as dams and marshy areas.
This video shows a male and female pair of Knob-billed Ducks, and was filmed at Leeupan in the Kruger. They do not often call, but their bird call can be heard in the background of this video.
