I am hiking the Knobstone Trail! Today's hike started at Deam Lake and went to Bartle Knob and back. I hiked 6miles in and back to my car for 12 miles total. Stay tuned for the next section!
The Knobstone Trail is the longest hiking trail in Indiana at 58 miles and growing. I started at the southern terminus (Deam Lake); which is about a 30-minute drive north from Louisville, Kentucky. I will be section hiking the entire trail.

Thank you for your video. I did this section of the trail recently thanks to your video. I am glad I didn't have a foggy morning like you did. They have the bridge complete now. Good idea for a channel. I will subscribe!

That means I need to go back and check it out. I've been out of town, but now that I'm back, I should have another section of the KT completed soon!

Hey Natalie, Mark Here (aka Hoobilly). Enjoyed your short video of the KT, how was your Race? I actually hiked the KT in "99" and was going to do a 20yr Anniversary Hike it again in "19", but because of a back injury had to end that.. Thought hiking was over for me because of recent knee issues.. However, I went for a short stroll Friday to start off the new year on the Tecumseh Trail in Morgan Monroe State Forest. In your video I noticed horseback riders near the KT, that's new as I don't remember a horse trail near the KT.. But my hike was Pre-Tornado too! Maybe a 25 Anni Hike as I regear and get back into shape.. Mark...

Its a lovely trail. It's a little rough with rain in some spots. Im hoping to finish it in a couple weeks. =)

I took a week vacation from both my jobs. I plan on completing the over the course of 2-3 days. This may be just what I need. Hopefully the streams are running this September.

I used to hike this trail with my family all the time until we moved. We are really homesick and watching this makes me feel good. I am so happy we are moving back soon so I can hike this again! Cheers!

Prbly a dumb question. Is there an area to park for overnight?

Not a dumb question! There is a parking area at each trail head. Youll want to talk to the Rangers before overnighting on the trail. Last i checked, they do require a permit.
