Its tragic that they can't even come up with a better emblem and thus create a new brand they could actually be proud of... Ripping off so blatantly really is embarrassing
For chinese peoples that are looking so much about "loosing face", this is a biblical level of national ridicule. I mean... they could do things with their designs. Express a line that speaks a chinese language in their automobile. They did it well, in a certain way, with the Honqui L5. I'm sure they can do it again.
True, we are used to seeing a lot of cheap rip-offs from China but it reached the point of luxury goods. I don't trust these cars at all. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-R44denxWmzE.html It says a lot on how China is ruining itself and lying to its people to buy them...
@@boboutelama5748the problem is Chinese companies don't know how to cater to western sensibilities. For example if they name a product, they just transliterate the name instead of changing it to something more memorable.
They are trying to buy foreign companies. A CCP company almost bought the car division of Daimler Benz a few years ago. They have already purchased Hasselblad, Volvo and Hummer.
@@iloveblender8999 Including the charge time and battery capacity you'll probably reach your destination at the same time or better. Plus the electricity bill.
I think it’s worthwhile to mention how patent laws are weaponized in the opposite direction as well. Not only do Chinese firms fail to honor existing patents by creating knockoffs as soon as an original product attains some market share, but Chinese firms file over 50% of US patents. The products exist solely on paper, yet trying to bring a product to market that even vaguely resembles anything mentioned in one of them will result in a spurious and expensive lawsuit from a Chinese firm.
They look like toy cars. Somewhere between the real car and those little cars that children drive. If they are cheap, I'd love to have one to drive around town. No one is going to confuse them for the real thing.
I call them " half a car". Not safe get hit by any other type of car and it's a wrap for your life. Should only be used at resorts or golf courses. Never on the a freeway/highway.
Have a guess how one of those things would fare in a car accident? I saw a video recently showing many of them do not have working airbags and other safety requirements!
I cringe every time I hear the phrase new energy vehicle. It's a nonsensical term invented by the Chinese to refer to electric vehicles. Thing is, there's nothing new about them. The first electric vehicle was made in 1839, long before the first internal combustion powered one. And rechargeable electric vehicles have been around since the 1880s.
I ran a battery mine loco from 1923 just the other week, it can still get higher mileage on a single charge than most of these modern battery cars, sure it lacks fancy features but it works and does the trick.
These cute little fakes probably record every time you go to the bathroom, and let the PLA know! As a retired 83 year-old who only drives to the grocery store once a week, Walmart every other week, and gas station once a month, I would like to have one of these cheep little bugs - especially the one that says RAM on the front... 🤗
You can tell from the models' faces that they were cringing 🤢at the thought of getting their photo taken endorsing those luxury knockoffs. Just another day in the office, ladies😁🤣😜
My brother was a mechanic for a shop that imported little Chinese two-stroke gas scooters by the container-full. "Pocket bikes", as they're known here. He would assemble and prep them for sale. Quality was abysmal, both in assembly and materials. The shop owner admitted if a customer managed to get a full month's of use out of one before failure, they were doing well. The same companies are now building these "Old Man's Joy" vehicles. They will never improve quality above the absolute bare minimum needed to get some unsuspecting consumer to buy it. If a model does happen to last, rest assured they will cut corners on the next batch to increase profits. They don't see it as unethical, but rather as "good business".
A knockoff is an exact or almost exact replica of an original car. It's totally different from being inspired by a car. Nobody will confuse these things for the real ones.
Man, those chinese companies have no shame! If Mitsuoka, DMD, Liberty Walk or any other coach-builder outside of chine decided to make a carbon copy of the newest models of other companies they'd get sued!
In case that these cars use the same quality batteries as all these knockoff e-bikes and e-scooters, then these cars will be very efficient. One crash and you won't need to wait for a place in a funeral home. The car will take care of the cremation itself.
That's why they are called "old men's cars" because they're for old people to do local shopping or bring grandchildren to school. NOBODY will ever think these are real Ferraris or Porsches so it's a lot of fuzz about nothing.
I think this is hilarious, and just let it be because anyone who wants to only spend $5000 for a car they are not the target demographic for luxury brands. Let the people have some fun
If i paid 100k for the real thing the last thing i want is someone w/ the same thing who paid 5000. It dilutes the real thing. It seems harmless to you but its very harmful to the brand and those customers who spent money for real stuff.
@@jefframos it made me blink seeing that production line i am in disblief , the water tight seals on the door the speaker set up . the quailty you can get for maybe 5k usd omfg i want one for my 1 horse town back roads can we get a 4x4 model ?
These toy cars may seem all fun and game...until when something breaks and you take them to a repair shop. Safety features? You'll find out should you get into an accident.
@@atzgfq23 I meant, the wheels always seem to be disproportionately cheaper and horrible looking compared to the rest of the vehicle and its build quality. But yeah, they all look like fun vehicles to whizz around town in. You should be able to drive one on a basic motorcycle licence or maybe without a licence. Loads of people ride bicycles on roads with basic proficiency.
In former times in China it was honorable to copy from the best for both sides. In modern world it is no more acceptable and China now copied and has stolen or aquired all know-how to make it themselves better. But this all is politics and no more tolerable in a global society with fair exchange among cultures. My brother in law invented oscillating tools based on already available machines. These machines from a known German brand have been used for other applications. But the clue is that 25 years before that patent such machinery existed in medical application already. In China some hundreds of companies however copied the machine from the German maker together with the sewing blades and the ideas of application. This is just STEALING and criminal to not pay for something that safes millions of working hours to the one who invented the right mix and combination. But one of the biggest GERMAN company is governed by the same criminals that also act in China. Here they are called lawyers and they even want to ban the INVENTORS from their idea and business. Both systems are 👿👿🤑🤮🤮🤮
Maybe they are just props, you just parked them in the driveway to make yourself look rich. Maybe there is pedals inside, because because I don’t think there are engines.
Just out of curiosity I been watching this Chanel for sometime now along with another channel that exposes China, how factual is everything that is being said in these videos
Too funny. It's like a bunch of golf carts--or unemployed extras from the movie "CARS"--got together one weekend to play "dress ups" and put on an imitation auto-show. "I get to be the Porsche!" "Oh yeah? Well I get to be the Land Rover!" [Deep voice, and deep breath]: "I get to be the Bentley." "Ok, Ok. But I get to be the Dodge RAM. Ok? Ok?" And a "Mini Cooper?" Really? The original Mini Cooper was smaller than even this, and went like a bat-out-of-h...
@@Fanta.... Sending these knockoff to Russia would be a disaster for Putin to say the least about Russian taste and preferences towards European model vehicles
This type of vehicle is not that rare in EU. That said the ones here are obviously not the knockoffs from China. They are original designs and most that I've seen have a small gasoline engine rather than an electric one. There's no reason why the Chinese electric ones couldn't be offered here, though, as long as they aren't lame knockoff designs.
It would cost a fortune to improve these things enough to pass DOT or TUV requirements in the US and EU. They can, however skirt motor vehicle laws by selling them as, 'Off Road Only, Not For Use on Public Roadway'. In other words, golf carts.
What can you say? Chinese Capitalism with shameless, Bond villain characteristics while in the other show room Winnie the Pootin, who only went to school to warm the seat and bully his classmates, removed Chinese human rights, rattles his little sabre with very small hands at Democratic Taiwan and blows marine stock to kingdom come. This is evidence that three thousand years of written history ended up in the hands of book burners.
It’s the fault of these luxury car makers as well for setting up factory in China for cheap labours which is how these Chinese company are able to copy their cars!
Figures are staggering , lots of investment as housing has collapsed . Lots of manufacturers ready to make millions of vehicles , only so many can afford them , charge at home , if you have power . Not sure how the taxi type would do here .
Please do your research next time, these are meant to be low cost and affordable means for people in the low income social class. Most Chinese will not drive these only poor farmer in rural areas. So they really don’t care about the brand. These auto show will hire stand ins you make it seem more popular than it really is.. You can see these and lots of auto shop just collecting dust so they are really for show if anything
