That Parker KO looked like it didnt even hit him. And Ortiz wasnt knocked out, he gave up. He did that alot.

12:25 that’s why I couldn’t watch British boxing in that era especially their broadcast coverage of their champions. Logan floors Nigel with an absolute peach flush on the chin slice through like butter but apparently he just “slipped” with his arms limp haha but all of a sudden after he has a tremendous shot of his own it’s a massive comeback never to be counted out that Benn returning from loads of trouble now 😂

Don't act like biased commentary is exclusively a British thing.

I did? When exactly? Use a quote from my comment so it’s all clear. I would like to know when I said it was exclusive to British commentary only. I said nothing controversial. You have eyes and you think Benn “slipped” ? Exactly. So it was a moment of bias. So your objection to my comment is to imply it’s ridiculous to say a VERY obvious thing? lol I am saying nothing no one already wasn’t well aware of. I just said I as in ME personally can’t listen to it. But I can’t listen to any honer commentary. It was Mexican coverage I’d say it. If it rang true as a trend. That weight class in particular was ruled by the isles as far as dominance globally. So yeah it would track that home commentary preserves that. But again, I can’t listen to it. Benn got a lot of that at home. There are very specific reasons why British middle-ish weight champions consciously or not got kid gloves so often on home broadcast. Easiest answer is a fight in Vegas has more of a global reach regardless of the flag in the ring. Every country’s media has some bias. Silly to imply anyone would think otherwise. My point was Benn and other champions as I said of that era at that time in that weight class especially got it a lot more. It was the pride of a nation: I didn’t say I can’t make sense of it; but if commentary is just blatantly wholly incorrect at the expense of accurate accounting of the events, you have a right to voice that. This was early in Benn’s career - media wouldn’t feel the need to have to do this later in his career.

@@CYMotorsport You mentioned British commentary specifically, as if it's not a thing elsewhere. If you understood that it's a thing in all commentary, why point out it being in British commentary specifically?

Micky Ward to me was such an iconic figure of a fighter. The way he can swing so wide and still maintain all his power is incredible. Ive never seen a style quite like his. Definitely a legend in my books 💯

Ward didnt hit the kidney, he hit the Liver. A blow well placed on the liver can knock down any fighter ever.

2:55 are Collazo's hits after the knockout illegal? Looks like back shots to me, but i know very little of boxing to be sure
@BootyQuaker

I dont think it's illegal, he didn't have a knee to the ground and the ref didn't stop Collazo, but the last punch can be discussed if it was a clean hit or a dirty one
