Thanks! If you have a wall USB port you don't need the adapter - the USB slot placement means you need about an inch below and above the USB port to plug it in without an adapter. I do wish they had re-positioned the port to make it easier to access though.
Sorry to hear that, one of the weakness of the Knog lights is the elastic mounts. My Road 400 is still holding up well, but one of the early production Knog Frog lights had the mount snap as well.
