Pretty much everything in terms of bracelets I have ever made has been without a buckle. It feels so much more pure in a weird way.

I like both of them, Even though I do not like using buckles, closing with toggles and beads is what I like best. Here is where these techniques come in handy. Thank you Tim

I like the knot and loop method over buckles. Both look good, but I would probably start with the first one. Thanks.

I always use the second method since that's what I normally see you use in your tutorials. Both look great though! I'm not a big fan of buckles either... they pinch and the sizing is very specific whereas knot and loop offers a little more adjustability before finishing the project off.
