Coming in a year later😩 Did the waves ever loosen to the point you were afraid that your braids would begin to unravel? If so, how long until that happened? Thank you for sharing!
No! That never happened. The hot water seals the hair so it doesn’t unravel at all. But if your waves start to loosen over time, you can always repeat the steps (re-braid the ends & re-dip) to freshen them up!
Omg I just used this routine on myself and it came out exactly like yours which is what I wanted 😍!! This was my very first time ever using weave and it came out great. Only took 8 hours 😅. Thank you for this video
I've never braided my own hair before, but I loved the way you did your braids so much that I actually did these on my own! It took me 3 days and my roots and parts aren't the best but I love the way it came out overall, especially the ends! 🥰
Awww thank you so much for writing me! The more you do it, the better and faster you’ll get! Even though it took a little while, I’m really happy you love the results ❤️ Tag me on IG if you ever take photos 🥺💓
I wish there was an easier way to do it. As of now, I just use 2 mirrors. BUT I plan on doing another video on human hair braids & hopefully by then I'll have some new tricks up my sleeve lol
You did such a great job! Definitely gonna do this bc ATL stylists are charging $300-$800 for this now smh. I was even scammed on Styleseat and lost money for a consultation! It’s time for me to learn to do my own braids for sure
Such a great tutorial! I really hope i can get as close to this look as possible! I have a problem with making my braids to bulky! Also where did you get your outfit? It’s so cute!🥰
Yess this is perfect! I was looking for an alternative to the goddess knotless box braids cause I don’t have any human hair crochet hair to put in the braids but I still wanted that bohemian/messy wavy look and this looks so good! I’m just nervous that the braids might unravel in the long run, cause u didn’t finish all the way to the end. Did that happen to your braids or did they stay the same throughout?
Hi love! Thank you so much. The braids don't unravel because dipping it in hot water seals the ends! I kept them in for 2 months & didn't experience any unraveling :)
LOVED IT! I was always afraid of doing it myself but your tutorial encouraged me to try. Hopefully my braids are gonna look a least half as good as yours. Thanks for the video!!!
Totally going to use your tutorial for doing my own braids 🙂 This might be a silly question, but I also considered cutting my hair short before putting braids in. Does it help to have shorter hair when doing this to your hair?
I wonder if this will work well with 4c hair. My hair is really thick so I think I would have to straighten my hair for this. Thanks for the video. I'll try it and see
Hi queenss - sorry for the late reply. I don't have the exact number but someone asked me this a while back and I counted 12 along the longest row (right above the ear).I did them pretty small. Hope this helps! I'm planning on doing a similar video using human hair on the ends & I'll be sure to make the process more detailed. Take care x
Hi, I just tried your technique, and I managed to finish it and I love the result ! I tried so many ways without succeeding, so your video is really a blessing for me, thank you 😊
Mine didn't really get tangled actually. I think it might depend on the type of hair you get. But I'll be uploading a video on how I maintain my braids this week so stay tuned
With the small sizes braids does it make your head heavy? Or add a lot of weight? I’m traumatized after doing a set of boxed braids . I had about 500 in my head hahaha
Heyyy. I would like to ask you if I can do my hair like this because I’m white so I just wanted to ask if it’s gonna be culturally appropriate. And if so I would love if someone educated me on this topic🤍☀️
No, it’s not culturally appropriate. Mostly because you’re hair texture isn’t compatible with these types of hairstyles so it may cause pain or even damage your hair. Learn to appreciate and respect without doing so yourself.
Hi! I absolutely loved how this turned out!! When you were doing the back of your hair with rubber bands were they only used to section your hair and did you take them out as you did each braid?
These turned out so cute! I can never get the right braiding hair that doesn’t make my braids turn out stiff & immobile. Yours are so flowy! Definitely going to give this hair a shot!
Aw thank you love!! I got this hair from a local beauty supply and haven’t been able to find it online 😭 but I’m on the hunt for a more accessible alternative 🖤
How heavy are these braids? Did your neck ever hurt? I usually get neckaches from having braids in sometimes. Also the hair that you used in the video is the trubraid 4x jumbo pack correct?
can you use the hot water on the ends with both synthetic and real hair? not sure what kind yours is! also - silly question open to anyone - has anyone tried to achieve a curly braid look with rollers or something similar?? Lollll Like what if I want curly/wavy braids sometimes?
This was so easy to follow and they look absolutely gorgeous on you😍 I’ve been wanting to do my own braids and was wondering what color hair you used? 1b or 2 i assume? Love your vids🥰
It took me a full day to do mine! It kinda depends on how fast you are at braiding/ how small you want them to be/ if you have anyone to help you part/ if you want to take a lot of breaks. I personally didn't take many breaks, which is the only reason why I was able to finish it in a day. Hope this is helpful!
Love your braids so much! Going to try this next weekend when I have the time. :) I've never braided my hair before. How do you prep your hair to braid it? Do you blow dry it/brush it so it's not so curly?
Thank you so much!! And good question! I probably should’ve included this in the video because it’s actually so important to ensure they come out neat. I wash and blow dry to prep! You can also let your hair air dry and brush it out once it’s dry if you’re avoiding heat. I always blow dry mine though. It’s the best way to make the texture match the braiding hair ✨
@@JadeMonet1 I still have them in actually lol I'm thinking of leaving them in a little longer, or trying another style. Besides a sew-in this is the longest Ive kept a style in🤣
Hey beautiful! Love love love your braids and video! Can you tell me what kind of hair you used (the brand) and did you love it still after having it in for a while? 🙏🏽💕💐
