I am thinking about taking this style and doing an updo, but instead of the bun you did in the style, I thought a rope braid into a bun would be cute :) THANK YOU! :) I am always so excited when you post a video :)

I have VERY thick, long hair (about 2" below my waist) and I ALWAYS struggle with updo's that incorporate ALL my hair. I also struggle with being able to do the things I see to my own head. My husbands best friend is getting married today and I allowed myself 3 hours (yes, I said 3 HOURS) to do my hair. This was so fast and so easy that it was done in less then 30 minutes and I LOVE IT! And all this hair will be off my neck for this beach wedding! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Definitely trying that this Thanksgiving. Also, I don't know if you're going to do this or not, but Katniss' hair when she was in the Capitol was awesome. It looks tricky, with the funky 6 or maybe 7 strand braid in the front, and the fishtail/regular braids on the side, with that massive braid in the back. I hope you know what I'm talking about, haha!

Not sure if you saw Catching Fire yet, but I'm a cosmo in training (and a big fan of the Hunger Games) and was trying to figure out the hairstyles while watching it-- especially the hairstyles during the President's Gala and Interview. I hope you're trying to figure it out too because I love your videos! I know it's a lot to ask for since you can't pause to study the intricacy. I'm going to go watch it again to get more insight :)

The knots don't look the same in my hair. In fact you can't see them really just bumps in the hair. What am I doing wrong? Do you have to tie the hair a specific way?

Any suggestions for doing this with frizz prone curly hair? It's such a lovely style but I seriously wish I had your hair texture to do it lol

Honestly, it depends on how curly your hair is. My most basic advice would be to blow the section for the knots as straight as you can or just lightly straighten it so that it doesn't get too fuzzy. Then, when it's dry use a small amount of some kind of silkening product like biosilk, chi silk infusion, fekkai glossing cream, etc to calm your hair down a little and help it be more soft and manageable. The rest of your hair you can leave natural or straighten/curl depending on your taste :).
