Cervical Cancer (cancer of the cervix) is the 4th most common gynecological cancer worldwide. Cervical Cancer is caused by human papillomavirus virus (HPV) infections. Screening (pap smear) and diagnostic methods (colposcopy) help in catching cervical cancer in the early stages but in some cases patients may be asymptomatic. However, as the disease progresses, more signs and symptoms of Cervical Cancer become apparent, including lower back pain, abnormal vaginal bleeding and other findings related to metastasis of the cancer. In this video, we discuss the signs and symptoms of Cervical Cancer.
