Know the feeling very well. I went kaykaying only to arrive at the launch site going through my stuff I had everything I needed, except the paddle. All of us have experienced that Homer Simpson moment.... DO--AH!!!!
It’s been known to happen. I’ve done this also. You know those bike racks where you lock the front fork into the roof rack you put the tire in the trunk. And then forgot to put the tire in the trunk.
Is DJI listening while you are filming? I only carry one radio but 2 batteries with 6 antenna choices. Always with a First Aid kit and Satellite locator, that way I can be found. Seriously, my mic cable quit on my one day, I carried a back up to the peak.
I hope they are, I could use a sponsorship - that schtuff is expensive! I'm trying my best to pack light... I still didn't make it. I could have gotten away with zero radio, but what's the fun in that.
@@temporarilyoffline My 14 liter Osprey Raptor pack is becoming too small for much more. The hikes need to be short with the Arizona desert so hot and the springs are dry. Time to go north.
Any way to get the mast in the air if you can't guy it with tent stakes, either because there's only tar/concrete or park regs won't allow? I always carry a hitch plate for those odd circumstances.
OK Challenge pack a go bag and go to the bottom of the grand canyon and do some ham radio HiHi 😂 Been down three times wish my kx1 was around back then however there is a repeater you can hit from the foot bridge leading to the campground. When packing fit everything you think you might need into the backpack the night before unpack everything and take out everything you think you may not need.
I did not see solar charge controller or first aid kit. pack some tools and soldering stuff as well. have fun ! Bring extra water. and some snacks . a blanket can be handy. a pillow also. carry toilet paper. bring a towel or 3 . microfiber wipes . We keep a go kit in the car at all times. 73
On one of your videos for POTA & the X6200, you have it tilted on a picnic table, I am wondering what you are using to hold the radio at that 45 degree angle? You have some great videos Thanks!
@@temporarilyoffline oh, jeez... talk about not even really taking the time to examine it... kick stands deployed now lol... one of many duh moments to come I am sure.
@@FEPLabsRadio You gotta use that southern Texas BBQ , calf roping drawl when you say SON 😂. I think he pronounces it Sun 😂 🤷♂️ T.O. Better watch out for Bear , I heard they bad this year 🧸 👋🍺🍺
