thanks - often i leave it as an open key (not necessarily c major) when it's songs like these that go through a few different key centers. in the chorus all those accidentals are pretty clearly chromatic inflections imo, but the verses could do with a key change, if we're being strict. not sure g would work, i'd go with f minor. you can put it down to my laziness though, i do a lot of these, so often figuring out what's going on harmonically is what has to be sacrificed. :) - also: i should say, i come from a tradition (contemporary classical, i.e. atonal composition) where it's no big thing reading so many accidentals, so i guess i let it influence my decisions sometimes - i'll keep it in mind though!

@@justsomebasslines cool! I was thinking G or F, depending on section, and C seemed weird, but I totally see where leaving it open may make it more accessible for folks. I trained mainly in jazz, so tightening up key centers is more the habit. Anyway, thanks!
