I bought the Whale-shaped bath tub (Moby 3 in 1) that comes with an integrated support that gets repositioned and then removed as the baby grows. Did it for the aesthetic but ended up being so practical and comfortable! We love it.

My girl loved bath for the first 3 months, then we had to skip it for about two months and we took showers together or I cleaned her with a cloth. At about 5 months she was able to sit with a bit of support so I just tried again with a short bath and she loved it. She's 18 months now and she LOOOOVES water 🙈❤️

We never had an issue with bath time except for the beginning when she was born. Her first bath was at the hospital but the place we were living at, bath time was not a possibility. It was shower with the baby (Didn't have a bath tub, sinks were too small for her own bath tub and the complex was druggie playground...). We're now in a better place and going to be moving to somewhere even better and environmentally ideal for growing up where bath time is a possibility and she LOVES it!

Mine loved bathime right from the start. Preparation is key. But I used to undress them and wrap in a towel. I would wash their face first then their hair. Then unwrap them take nappy off and clean nappy area. Only then did I sit them in the bath. We were told never to put them in the bath before putting them in. Washing their face with the same water they are sitting in can cause infections in their eyes and mouth. As well as traces of feces in their hair. But I see a lot of babies now having their face and hair washed after putting them in. As well as them getting the water in their eyes which they don't like. I had a bathslide to hold them above the water so I had both hands free to wash them. I used to put a wet muslim cloth over them which they loved.

So my oldest has always liked baths, she's now 4. My second has hated water. Any kind of water. We've tried just about everything. For two years, it's been none stop screaming when she's wet, bathing, swimming pools, and spilling water from a cup on herself. We are expecting baby 3. Hopefully, that little one will tolerate water. But I still don't know what to do about my two year old who just hates being wet. The plus is that going to the toilet has been extremely easy for her.

My both kids loves bathing/shower because we used water that is warmer (quite a lot warmer actually) than 38 degrees which is recommended. We first tried that 38 degrees water and our firstborn was crying nonstop. But then we changed it hotter and he was totally enjoying it. Our second baby has only been in shower but she loves showering that much that she would never wanna leave there. Also tip when showering is to let water run over your baby at all times (except quick applying of mild soap).

Yes my baby liked taking showers with me and my showers were definitely above 38 degrees. We tried giving him a sink bath the other day and my mom and husband insisted the water be much colder and he HATED IT. It's not like we're leaving them in there to soak for a half hour I think he needs it warmer than they say

Hand the baby to your partner in the shower. Hands down the easiest solution. Even solo, this works, naked baby in bouncer wrapped in towel, shower yourself, rinse well, then wash the baby. Warm room, warm mama/papa. Beautiful moments! Note: soap is the slippery part so if you are rinsed and so is baby no slip. Hold baby one hand, use other with a bit of soap to wash baby.

@lefweakshow871 Год назад
@@igbo_girl in Japan we bathe babies in little bathtubs for their first month, it'd called "mokuyoku". After they reach their first month, they are ready to bathe with their parents. Kids bathe with their parents from that age until they go to elementary school. But to be honest I did bathe with my baby even when she was only 2 weeks-ish. It was the only way for me to calm her colics. You can do it but be extremely careful they don't sip water accidentally. Have a short shower before bath to clean your private areas and your armpits to keep your bacteria away from your baby.

Both my babies would scream their hearts out if I ever put them in a bath at 38 degrees…. Especially my first born. As a FTM I used a little water thermometer and made it perfect according to all the advice and omfg he screamed liked someone smashed his head! Didn’t put 2 + 2 together so finished up quick and got him out, then he did it again next bath….. then I got in the bath with him, adjusted the temperature much warmer so I wasn’t shivering and he loved it! 38 may be recommended but in the uk that’s practically a cold bath….

A trick I used for my little one was to shower together and when I had to wash her hair, I would breastfeed (holding her in a "football hold") this way she was looking up at me, being soothed and I had my dominant hand free to do the washing. Worked like a charm!

Tip #8: you don't have to bathe your baby more than once a week. Keep them wiped clean during diaper changes, and use a wet wipe to clean our their neck folds at changing time, too. Babies don't produce body odors thst adults do, and they aren't outaide playing in the dirt either. So it's not at all necessary to bathe your baby very often.

@EmmaHubbard

It's really common for babies to spit up when they are young for multiple reasons (which i cover in this video - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6t6Ba7ZLnuY.html). If your bub is generally a happy bub, not distressed when they spit up and putting on weight then with time I would expect the spitting up to reduce. Also if they are generally happy, see what happens when you don't burp them. Babies are more likely to spit up when being burped. So if they are happy see if they truely need burping. If it doesn't change their behaviour then burping may not be required and this may reduce the frequency of the spit ups. But if your bub is upset most of the time and not putting on weight then I would recommend you chat to your doctor who can complete an assessment in person. I hope that helps!

@mrmistyrose007 Год назад
@@AB-ws4kt I'm not sure from which country you are from, but I'm so glad to note that you understand the rituals and also acknowledge it's a great way to bond with the baby. It truly is. Most westerners will complaint this is manhandling the baby, but it's not. Initially the baby will cry their lungs out, but eventually you must see how they enjoy their bath time once they settle down, sometimes even falling asleep! The massage done right, will help the baby's muscle to relax and strengthen and prevent stomach colic. And they sleep soundly for hours afterwards. Most of the videos shows bathing with soap and shampoo, but many Indian moms actually use own hand made herbal bath powder for their babies.
