Shreeps just told me that the shuttle in Beyond Heaven's Void actually is meant to be functional and not sealed off. Apparently, the current purpose is for defeating Invader Bradley to reward you with a brief tour through a few unfinished, but playable zones in a Chapter 8 world called Serene Star System before sending you through Ancient Alien God. With this world being the only hub world that's not yet accessible through the intended method, since it's meant to be reached during Chapter 8, I guess Shreeps felt there should be a way to get there in the current version of the level without having to play in Open World mode.
All you can visit in that world are the old zones, which have barely changed compared to the original. Immortal Xenogod has been expanded a bit, but the new part is mostly sealed off. Climactic Chase has a new music track and while it still has the shifts that are meant to strip you of your hologram, the dialog afterwards has been changed, presumably because you're not meant to have it yet when you get there. And three of the four coins have been removed. But aside from that, everything seems to pretty much be the same as it used to. I guess it's a nice extra, but there's not a lot here I haven't seen already. Wonder if some of these challenges will be changed when this world is reworked.
