Deffinely, by far, my favourite track of the EP! That KOAN Sound's neurostep style it's just amazing, and i love that guitar string sound on the back. Big ups for this EP :)
having sub genres make things easier for people with specific tastes. for example, if you only like melodic dubstep, but that sub genre terming didn't exist, then you would be categorised with the heavy and hard listeners and you might not appreciate that. sub genres also allow artist to showcase their skill more, since the more genres you can perfect the better and artists can get more recognised for being able to differentiate music and produce sub genres as well.
halftime neurofunk. this is too slow for glitch hop and it's tempo is nearly 87, making it halftime of 174, from where neurofunk and other subgenres of dnb are built upon.
The drop is SICK and AMAZING. But imho the main chord progression that comes in later feels kinda uninspired and honestly ruins this track for me a bit.. :(
Michael Lacy I kindly disagree, I feel they did a little experimenting and found a vibe they like. Koan sound are the heavy dub funk masters, but they have always had a chill side. The songs they produced are top notch and are different, but they kept their sound somehow and it truly compliments what they came up with. The album will grow on you, I promise.
Michael Lacy I agree with you. When I first heard their tracks I loved it because it was a unique style, but honestly their songs are starting to blur together and all sound the same. This EP is a little disappointing.
