@Doge because he had a much longer career and higher usage than almost every player ever. And spent most of his career in a triangle offense that didn't use a traditional point guard to create the majority of shots.
@@raymondsims7042 are you delusional or something who can consistently score on Michael Jordan there’s videos of him holding legends to 0 Sure he gets crossed from time to time but you can’t get buckets on him consistently
@@Matt-qq4yf no I think you’re “delusional” If anything lad😂😂mj was an incredible defender, there’s no need to fabricate stories to make him look even better.
@@IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIxv “chucking” up a high volume of quality shots is something very few players are good enough to do. Shot creating is a skill, and shot creating itself requires many skills. During the prime of kobe’s career, nobody had more tools or was more polished offensively than him, which is in part how he managed to score 29,000 points over a 14 season span from 2000-13, despite being sidelined a combined 60+ games with injuries in 2000, 01, 04, and 05.
Fuck I swear for a second I forgot Kobe passed away, and was shocked to read RIP I don’t understand how is it that he is no longer here, it was not supposed to happen the way it did.
This really hits home for me.. in college I was the guy that guarded the other teams best player.. when you're guarding a guy averaging 25 and hold him to 8 with 2-14 from the floor it feels amazing.. at that level we can all score, but not everyone can defend and actually stop someone
I was a defensive anchor back when. My offence struggled as I spent 110% of my energy shutting down the other teams best player. Held the 2nd ranked person in my state to 6 points. I was told by a college coach I was probably the best defender in the state and I was recruited to play on a team that was one of the worst defensively the season before lol. Unfortunately offence of numbers shine much more than a lockdown defender.
@@snc237 thankfully I'm 6'7 and could touch the top of the square with 2 steps.. I was pretty athletic for a white boy hahaha but yeah people can get so caught up with numbers and stats. That's unfortunate man
I understand when he says if they didn’t put in the work, why should he pass them the ball. Whether you like him or not, you have to admire the work ethic that he put into his game. Because at the end of the day, his ultimate goal was winning, by any means necessary. That is something only real champions understand.
It absolutely wasn't entirely about winning. If it was, he wouldn't have made the Lakers pick between him and Shaq because he wanted his own teM, and he wouldn't have spent those post Shaq years trying to win the scoring title and not much else.

People definitely have the wrong impression of Kobe… The thing is after Shaq got miami in a steal of a deal trade the lakers were complete garbage outside of Kobe… there was literally no one to pass to
@@JohnSmith-nm4zd so basically after the 90s no wing player played consistent defense 🤣 how old are you? Who has MJ locked up? Kobe locked up Iverson, Mcgrady, Rip Hamilton, Westbrook, CP3, Lebron, Brandon Jennings, just to name a few
@@JohnSmith-nm4zd I get all that and I agree but unless you watched every nba game ever I feel like all the wing defenders got defensive praise by reputation after they had already established themselves as great defenders, I remember seein Payton, MJ, Pippen all get cooked even more than I’ve seen anyone cook Kobe or at least just as much so unless you really watched how they played team defense every game I don’t see the difference between Kob and the rest and Kob actually strapped up all stars which I never see when he put his mind to it but a lot of games he played lazy ass defense
the best scorers ever LITERALLY always have and will be #1 wilt chamberlain #2 kareem abdul-jabbar #3 michael jordan #4 larry bird and #5 shaquille o'neal

Kobe Bryant rape accusation details >“[The nurse] stated that there were several lacerations to the victim’s posterior fourchette or vaginal area, and two of those lacerations were approximately one centimeter in length,” testified Det. Winters. “And there were many, I believe, 2 millimeter lacerations. Too many to count… [The nurse] stated that the injuries were consistent with penetrating genital trauma. That it’s not consistent with consensual sex.” >Det. Winters further stated that the nurse told him the vaginal injuries had most likely occurred within “24 hours,” and that the accuser had “a small bruise on her left jaw line.” Also, that examiners had found “blood excretions” on Bryant’s T-shirt “to about the waistline.” The blood, testified Det. Winters, had “the same DNA profile as the victim in this case.” Full story [here](www.thedailybeast.com/kobe-bryants-disturbing-rape-case-the-dna-evidence-the-accusers-story-and-the-half-confession), including Kobe admitting the events took place and claiming he believed it was consensual.
Casual it makes playing defense now a skill all those old heads did were foul each other that shxt wasn’t defense MJ would get torched in this era.. think a guy who was in the club all night drinking and smoking cigars can defend any of these athletes today at a high level without fouling Curry would drop 39 on his head and his dad Bron would’ve cooked him for a 35 point triple double
Yea I don’t get it LeBron is just bigger stronger faster jumps higher can guard 1-5 in his prime more efficient better playmaker and rebounder than Kobe ESPN really stfu old head
@@melgoat I'm picking Kobe ahead of Lebron. BUT... if Lebron wins one more championship, he will become not judt better than Kobe, but the greatest player of all time. Of course, if he wins Finals MVP too.
@@ry_an. Lebron is not better. He didn't win two titles in a row without superteam. He won title in 2016, that's the only title where I can congratulate him, but in 2020 come on man, both Lebron and Davis averaged over 60 points every game, he had incredible player that season who even outplayed Lebron in the conference finals, nobody else could do it before. Davis played great regular season and than, he was even better in the play offs. He also had Rondo who couldn't miss from 3 in the play offs, he had great defense... That Lakers team was amazing in that time, and Miami played only with Jimmy Butler, Butler played alone in those finals, Bam and Dragic were most of the time injured.
