I love how visibly excited Kobe was. His NBA career was judged by his physical performances. But there's an emotional vulnerability to writing a personal poem. Earning critical acclaim for it, is huge for him.
Farewell, you beautiful man. My sincerest condolences to the Bryant family, NBA fans, and Kobe’s friends. This is a tragic day, and I’m still in shock. Thank you Kobe for all your amazing talent and I’m proud of calling you an Oscar Winner.
Will Smith is an Amazing Actor doing great every time, and always in the making, Good for him, there are tons of talented Actors & Actresses who doesn't won an Oscar Yet Including the famous Harrison Ford & Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Samuel El Jackson Matt damon, even Brad Pitt got just today ,IN the other hand Some Unknown Korean Film makers Won an Oscar with their first attempt & with a movie Name Called "PARASITE " btw not only one but many, so with out enough info don't jump to judge people's okay🤪. Koby was very gifted willing to try many things as much as he could, & had a plan to do more, but his life cuts short sadly. Matter fact One of the things thst i don't understand in his acceptance speech, what the hell was saying ( in italian or Spanish not sure dont no why?? It wasn't necessarily at all. Rip anyway.
He always found a moment to highlight Gianna. Breaks my heart. One of the biggest losses for the world. Kobe was just getting started. I really began being his fan AFTER his retirement for his business skills and mentality.
Kobe was so giddy and happy excited RIP KOBE I been to see him play so many times at staples went to the 2000 parade you gave me so many memories even when I was out of state watching lakers win 2010 championship made me feel like i was home RIP MAMBA
Dear Basketball is a beautiful short animation that I saw online today. It is so great to see Kobe so excited and thrilled! It's too bad that Glen Keane didn't get any questions since this was his first Oscar too, and just as special for him!
As opposed to what? What’s wrong with being well spoken and articulate, why does the African American community have this stigma against anyone who isn’t being aggressive, ignorant, and ghetto?
Man I'm a back fan of Kobe and I can just how happy and excited he was to win that award he loves doing this as much as basketball he look like a lil kid trying to hold in his happy. The mamba just loves the challenge and the journey
That man got cheated out of so many rings/mvps in his nba career, this proves how much he loved basketball and never cheated the game. Just because of a rape case the nba destroyed his last chip years. Top 2 greatest players to play this game. NBA screwed up giving lebron the golden kid title. This man just opened up a new door for athletes to be future producers/directors. He belongs in the #1 top tiers of iconic athletes in the world. He is next to ali/jordan/phelps/serena.
Travis Blair The truth will set people free. Kobe got shitted all over by david stern/adam silver. The man never cheated the game he fought through every obstacle.
I think Kobe is great but where's the love for Glen Keane?! Such a shame that they don't have much questions for a living legend in the animation industry. That guy is a part of many people's childhood.
What an incredible masterpiece by Glene Keane. This is so surprising that everyone is talking about Kobe, it's Glene's visualization which made it possible.
Krishnendu Bikash Maity , Actually the poem is where the story lies. It has heart and depth. All film, whether animated or live action, begins with a story.
@TexasGal I know story is important. but you are missing my point. I was saying that not even a single person asked Glene about his tremendous talent, direction and the animation he and his team did. You think only story matters? It was Glene's visualization which made this film to oscar. Or else it would have been just a RU-vid motivational video.
No_Diggity_No_Doubt The Oscar lost most of its mystique over the past 7 years or so. They been giving that shit out like its halloween candy. There is no fucking way that winning an Oscar for a silly animated short film will EVER make up for those MVP titles that Kobe was robbed of. Athletes work and train so damn hard to achieve greatness and so much of what they do depends on being 100% physically at all times. Because of this, the window of opportunity is very small and gets smaller with each passing year. A 90 year old man can win an Oscar but you will never see someone over the age of 35 win an MVP in any sport.
kobe is just crazy! others are working their entire life to get an oscar, he just does it in passing. well, another trophy to add to his collection 😄a truly inspiring guy, i might use him for future motivational videos.
Kobe never gave up. He kept practicing practicing practicing. This is why Kobe is succesful in life and if you don’t start putting hard work, then u might be regretting ur decision.
RyN what?! Are you talking about that clearly was never the debate . You said anybody can get a ring and I said where’s your ring since anyone can get one ....lol you troll
Kobe the all time greatest ... 5 time champion, 2 time Olympic gold medal winner, and an Oscar winner... what more could you have asked from the GOAT... you’ll be missed KOBE thanks for the memories
He only feels better winning an Oscar because he never thought abt winning this accomplishment. When he played u couldn't question him abt winning a title. Am I right??? #blackmambaforever
tbh i dont know who Kobe is, am sure he's someone big and important to so many people, but that lovely sweet old man, he's an inspiration for so many artists around the world, he's literally the reason why i became an animator, the most humble person ever and i actually teared up seeing him up there, getting the award he deserves as animator. Amazing man
Definitely one of the goats... Congratulations Kobe Bryant you gave me so much inspiration tonight you are a blessing from God and I appreciate that we have this platform RU-vid to see such greatness as this! !!
This Oscar year has made a lot of good history. It is almost like Barack Obama being the First Black President. I am so thrilled, honored and inspired by contribution of Great Women and Great Black Artist at The Oscars this year.
Congratulations Kobe you're one my favorite players and one of the greatest players I've ever seen and now you're the first NBA basketball, players to win an Oscar congrats Kobe and keep striving for greatness
Alll paid off my idol. They robbed you your seasonals mvp like 3 times . But winning oscars cant topped those moments forever .. ☺☺ #someoneisnowjelous #insertlebroncareerchaser
