This matchup in Utah was Game 2 of 82. Included is one of Kobe’s most memorable but nonetheless rare dunks - full extension windmill off two feet.

01/02 to me is when he really started turning into the game changing game take over type of player. Sure he had moments of it before but this is when he finally was blossoming as a superstar not behind shaq but beside shaq . 02 kobe is one of my favorite versions when he cut the fro shorter and had the mini fro fade thing going on in the 02 playoffs and finals. He was a savage .

Kobe's scoring was held back by the coaching staff from 96-04. Phil Jackson wanted to run the offense through Shaq until they traded him and gave Kobe freedom to shoot more, not as much as he wanted. Every game kobe scored 50+, Phil was on the bench yelling "tone it down"
