At 39 Jordan was giving teams 40 and even 50 still. Also Jordan is 4th all time in assists for Shooting Guards. Also LeBron hasn't played defense in years. Also, those Bird teams had 5 hall of famers and were one of the greatest defensive teams ever and he put up 63 against em which is still the playoff record. You had no idea how he played while watching this and yet still feel qualified to say how well he played? And how great his competition was? Jordan's championship opponents had a higher winning % than LeBrons as well. Maybe you should check out the LeBron vs Jordan best goat comparison video.

Bro you are sadly mistaken as far as jordans competition. By your same logic lebron is not the goat because he put a team together just to make it out of the east. You cant judge jordans passing off one video. go research the season where the bull needed jordan to play point guard and check his assist totals. and for a full scope of jordans skills watch the histortic bulls mixtape

Going by your criteria, Jordan is the greatest player of all time. He was the ultimate winner. He was the ultimate leader. He built up the Bulls from nothing to a championship team, without having to switch to different teams and recruit top tier player friends. He helped develop players like Pippen into allstars, and his ex teammates credit him for leading them and pushing them to become great players. He's also the greatest two way player of all time, being both a scoring champion and defensive player of the year in a single season. He can also do essentially everything, it's just his team required him to be a scorer, which he did in spades, and that's why they were 6-0.

I've been a basketball fan since the mid 1970's, watched multiple generations of basketball, and coached youth basketball when my sons played. I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you that today's players and teams are better. The biggest attributes that are lacking in teams and players today compared to the 80's/90's (the NBA's Golden Era) is teamwork, defense, midrange, and fundamentals. There's a lot of shooters who can shoot 3's today, but hardly any who can put up a consistent midrange. In MJ's case, he really had no weaknesses. Defense, offense anywhere on the floor, passing, free throws, making players around him better, fundamentals, 100% hussle, off-of-the-charts basketball IQ, game winning shots, 6 championships in 8 years, etc., etc., etc. No one (yes, not even Kobe or Lebron) has ever had the total package. MJ did. Bird and Magic nearly did. Michael did all of this against Hall of Famers who are better in game and team situations than players and teams today. Trust me. Kobe was probably the best scorer ever, and I respect that. But scorers are a dime a dozen. I want a total package who can also play superior defense. Lebron is the best physical specimen to ever play, but he's not as consistent (not even close) as MJ in big games and making his teammates better (Lebron also has a tendency to flop in games, which loses a lot of respect in my eyes). He has made some really poor decisions in big games that MJ (and even Bird) never did. I will take teamwork and basketball IQ over scoring and athleticism anyday; that's what wins championships. Still, you did a great job with the video and your reaction. Keep up the good work.

@cyber6sapien
@cyber6sapien 3 года назад
I agree with everything you wrote except the part about Kobe being the greatest scorer ever. That again is MJ. And it's not close. Jordan has the highest scoring average ever both in the regular season and more importantly, the postseason. In fact Jordan's postseason scoring average is higher than his regular season scoring average, which is absurd because the playoffs is when defenses are at their peak. Plus MJ did it more efficiently than Kobe all while being the main focus of the opposing team's defense night in and night out. Jordan did this in one of the toughest defensive eras when the pace of the game was slower than it is today. Jordan never had a teammate like Shaq who could command double teams and take defensive pressure off of him. Jordan was also much stronger, quicker and more explosive than kobe, while having the hand size of a center making him be able to palm the ball with wither hand and complete shots that kobe wouldnt be able to make. in the early 2000s after Jordan retired, the NBA removed handchecking with the expressed intent to make life easier for perimeter players like Kobe, TMac, Vince Carter etc, while limiting the opposing teams defenses. It worked, and scoring exploded in the mid 2000s and beynd. That was around the time when Kobe had his 35ppg season. Kobe might be the most skilled player ever, i'll give him that. But even Kobe's best offensive game ever 81pts, is ranked second in the modern era to Jordan's 69pt game. Jordan is simply the greatest scorer ever, even better than Wilt whose scoring per 36 mins is inferior to Jordan's .

People always forget MJ was one of the most dominant defenders of his generation. All team first defense 9 times, defensive player of the year, only player to record 100 blocks and 200 steals twice. Only one person in the history of the game has done it one other time. If he didn’t score a point and relied just on those defensive stats alone, he’s in the hall of fame.

Respect to you for being open minded. To put things in better perspective for you. Jordan lost earlier in his career to a Celtics team with 5 hall of famers. My guy great video, Mike was playing grown men when you could hand check and no zone was allowed, When a foul was a foul and the physicality was off the charts on defense. If MJ was playing today with all the phantom fouls he would average like 45 and he played defense.
@oceanroi6612
@oceanroi6612 3 года назад
by "no zone" what you mean is the defense couldn't leave their man and stack towards one side of the court w/o getting an illegal defense called and MJ could isolate himself against some turd over and over again all over the court.

@@hunterhottman4905 I hope that's not what he means. Zone defenses were illegal for the entire time Mike was with the Bulls and the lack of it played to his strengths as a player, i.e. when he isolated in the wing, other defenders had to stay at home on their man or commit to the on ball double team and could not crowd the side of the court he was on or box 4 around the lane the way they can now. Mike is awesome no doubt, but this analysis is not only wrong but absurd. Even the physicality part, there were players and maybe even a few teams that were physical but it was hardly the case with the majority of the league especially up to about 94.

@@pointhigh2441 I don't give a f×ck when you started watching basketball. You can look at the league wide scoring and see clearly when the physical defensive play started to really take hold around 93-94. in his defense, the young ones just didn't have the luxury of watching Jordan live like older generations did. ESPN and co. never show highlights of his dunks; they just show the same old replays of his game winners over and over again. Unless kids go back and watch old games, they'd never really know how good he was. Even then, watching replays of old games doesn't capture the magnitude of the games, so it's still not the same as seeing it live.

MJ is the most complete player at both ends of the court and still holds the average ppg record in both the regular season and playoffs (which was actually higher than in the regular season) and all this was done when you could hand check and the big men could camp themselves under the hoop all game just waiting to batter anyone who drove to the hoop - he is the GOAT and as incredible as James is, if you look and compare the two players respective games top to bottom objectively it really isn't a close debate. James could pretty much sleepwalk his way through the East to the finals year after year and as great as the Warriors teams he played in the finals were, even they couldn't win 3 straight titles, MJ's Bulls did it twice (in 8 years) and during that time they were the juggernaunt team of the NBA which included a 72 game winning season where they didn't choke in the finals like the Warriors did.

We all know Lebron takes a night of& here and there. And sometimes that defense is spotty. Michael never took a night off. Ever. His defense was stellar. Always near the top of the league in steals and blocked shots. And he took on every one. There were some stacked teams. His inside game would dust these outside shooting no contact fools today. Jordan would feast on the lack of an inside game today. And If you look at the rosters he played with all those years, until Rodman showed up, all he ever had was Scotty Pippen. It was Jordan, Pip, and a bunch of utility players that just needed to concentrate on their own jobs. Now a lot of these traits Lebron has but your consistency argument doesn’t hold water. Michael is the picture of consistency. And he was on some bad Bulls teams when he arrived in Chicago, and still was putting up record breaking numbers. Pick any Bulls game on RU-vid and tell me Jordan isn’t consistent. You knew for a fact when you sat down to watch a Bulls game back in the day Jordan was going to do a dozen eye popping plays you couldn’t believe. He put up LeBron numbers in half the time it has taken Lebron. You’re right. This dance could go on forever. Subscribed.

Mike, took the players that were given to him and willed them to championships. He was also a lockdown defender. LeBron’s, the greatest all-around player but, M.J’s, the G.O.A.T. Championships easily Jordan. All around player - Jordan is the greatest two way player anyone has ever seen. 3rd in steals, best shot blocking guard, lethal perimeter defender, one of if not the greatest scorer of all time. It doesn’t stop there, he is a great rebounder foe a guard and he has showed his passing ability when needed with low turnovers as well. He literally did it all. Lebron has so many weaknesses that could be exploited - free throw, pull up, jump shot, off ball movement, clutch, defense, - According to your all time great list jordan is easily over lebron in all these categories.

No one player has influenced the game of basketball more than Michael Jordan. Before Jordan (and through half of his career) there were many players who were not that strong. They were tall and thin but that's it. He wasn't the first to be incredibly athletically fit but his playstyle was so amazing that everyone else had to be that kind of fit just to hang on the same court with him; otherwise, you were getting served up like some appetizers. He was such a competitor that his teammates didn't even like playing cards (or domino's or dice) with him because, if he was losing, he would not let them quit playing until he won all of his shit back from you. One of the biggest things to get overlooked is that, before Michael Jordan, almost nobody had a shaved head. Some movie characters have shaved heads but it was rare that you ever saw a shaved head in real life. I know because I shaved my head for the first time in 1987 I couldn't go anywhere without people whispering or snickering or thinking I had cancer or thinking I was a Nazi. After about 2 years of Jordan wearing a bald head, shiny heads were everywhere and it was no big deal. Two things that have changed basketball: - the NBA merger with the ABA - Michael Jordan

In all 3 of your categories I would say MJ wins out. Maybe the leadership can be argued because they both won with their styles. LBJ doesn’t play much defense, really the whole league doesn’t, and MJ played both sides every game. Teams now a days are offensively stacked, yes, but in MJ days teams were defensively stacked and MJ still scored over 30. LBJ didn’t get to the Ship until 4 years after entering the NBA and got swept and didn’t make it back til 2011, it did take MJ 7, one he didn’t play much so really 6 years. Why does everyone always say MJ wasn’t a great passer, you didn’t watch the whole video then. Funny how you point out that All Around Player matters much, probably because you think Bron wins this one, and you don’t put much on Championships since you know MJ wins that one. Much props tho, great reaction vid.

Kevin Durant would be snapped like a tooth pick if played the Detroit Piston Bad Boys in a seven game series. A bunch of great stars don't make a great team- this has been proven over and over. Speaking of Pip - a lot of heads don't know that he wasn't even recruited out of high-school. He walked on some Arkansas college as an equipment manager/player. As a freshman his duties weren't to score, create or defend - they were to sweep gym, pick up balls after practice and keep equipment organized. It wasn't until some teammates quit that he was allowed to play as a reserve. Even as a Bulls rookie, he was not stud. Brad Sellers beat him out for the small-forward spot. But after a couple years under Air Jordan's wings he learned how to fly. Jordan morphed him into the boy wonder to his Batman. Bron was gifted ballers that were already some of the best in the league.

First of all, some MJ highlight video only shows some flashy shots. In no way does it represent Jordan's greatness. One thing you left out of your 3 things you rate greatness on is "Performance under pressure and clutch, blocks, steals and shots". So add that to your Jordan Videos to watch how many times his defense or last second clutch won championship or playoff games. Jordan was the best defensive player I have ever seen not just a good defender and scoring champion. Jordan was a shooting guard so your point of "Leadership" is lost in him "making others better" he made them better through actual field general in practice and games not so much assists. Lastly you say that Lebron has super teams out there? Jordan stayed on the same team other teams were building to beat him in a time when common fouls would be ejections today with multiple game suspensions. To watch some 10 minute highlight cut and make any type of judgement on his career is crazy my guy. Have a blessed day.

Anyone can express their opinion, but that doesn't mean said opinions are correct or immune to criticism. LeBron's resume is legendary, but he'll never pass Jordan. Sorry. Jordan was just better. Even if you refuse to go watch the film, statistics point towards Jordan as well. And no, I'm not talking about worthless stats like career totals. I'm talking about advanced stats that are adjusted per game. Jordan has LeBron beat in literally every advanced metric, including PER, offensive/defensive +/-, win shares per game, wins above replacement, etc. The biggest advantage Jordan has over LeBron was the fact that Jordan was a top 5 defender of all time (again, statistics support this, too). LeBron, while he has had some seasons where he has defended well, has, for the majority of his career, been an average defender. You're free to believe whatever you want. Michael Jordan has: •3 more rings •3 more final mvps •1 more DPOY •1 more season MVP •9 more scoring titles •3 more steals leader •3 more all defensive team selections •4000 more points / bron moved past him in playoff points, but it took him longer. •800 more steals •Beat 20 50+ win teams in the playoffs (Lebron only defeated 10) •Jordan never averaged less than 40% Field Goal in the finals Lebron did it twice •6/6 (never allowed a game 7) •Lebron had much more offensive help, example: Jordan never had a teammate average more than 22 points in the finals.. In fact, Mj is Only player in NBA history to lead a team to the championship with only one teammate averaging double figures in scoring * In the Bulls’ 1997 playoff run, Scottie Pippen averaged 19 points per game on 42% shooting. All other teammates of Jordan averaged under 8 points per game Kyrie averaged over 28 and DWade averaged more than 26 •MJ never ever had a finals meltdown like Lebron in 2011 against the Mavs •MJ had more points in the playoffs in less games.. MJ accomplished all of this in 13 seasons Lebron after his 14th season, is still chasing the “ghost” (GOAT) that played in Chicago” •Michael Jordan in the playoffs has put up atleast 40ppg, 5rpg, 5apg in 6 different playoff series. Along with an average of about 55% shooting, 3spg and 2bpg. (86 vs bos, 89 vs cavs, 90 vs philly, 92 vs Miami, 93 vs Phoenix, 88 vs cavs) Jordan won every one of those matchups except for the 1986 matchup vs the celtics. •Jordan in 88-89 averaged 32ppg, 8apg, 8rpg, 3spg off 54% shooting. LeBron has never even came close to this stat line. •in 87 thru 92, MJ averaged 5 straight seasons of atleast 51% FG shooting. LeBron has never done this. •the lowest FT% MJ ever shot in a season was 78%. Lebrons highest in a season ever is 78%. •MJ has a higher playoff FG% of 48.7% to Lebrons 48.3% •MJ has a higher playoff player efficiency rating of 28.6 to Lebrons 27.3. •MJ shoots a higher playoff 3 point percentage of 33.2% to Lebrons 32.9% •LeBron James has scored 30 points, 416 times in 1,117 games. Michael Jordan did it 562 times in 1,072 games. Jordan won 6 championships without losing a final in 1,072 games and LeBron in 1,117 games has lost 5 times and has only won 3 times (updated 2018) •MJ also shocked the league by being the first (and only) player to have 100 blocks and 200 steals in the same season, then turned around and did it again the next year.. •Mj also has more career blocks (893) than Lebron James (853) despite playing in 22 LESS career games and being the smaller guy. Also, MJ averaged 1.6 blocks per game in the 1987-88 season which is absolutely bonkers for a 6’6″ shooting guard. Seriously this list can keep going. This isn’t even a debate. Mj is the GOAT. MIchael Jordan: •NBA record 5 playoffs series’ averaging atleast 40ppg •Only player in history to lead league in scoring and win DPOY •Highest scoring average, points per game, in any championship series: 41.0 vs. Phoenix Suns, 1993 NBA Finals •Only rookie in NBA history to lead his team in four statistics (1984-85) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring, win Most Valuable Player, and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season (1987-88) •Only player in history to average at least 30pts 6reb 5assists And 2 steals per game AND HE DID IT 7 TIMES. •Only player in NBA history to win Rookie of the Year (1984-85), Defensive Player of the Year (1987-88), NBA MVP (1987-88, 1990-91, 1991-92, 1995-96, 1997-98), All-Star MVP (1988, 1996, 1998), and Finals MVP (1991, 1992, 1993, 1996, 1997, 1998) •Only player in NBA history to lead the league in scoring and win the NBA championship MORE THAN ONCE in the same season * He did this SIX TIMES!! (1990-91, 1991-92, 1992-93, 1995-96, 1996-97, 1997-98) •One of two players in NBA history to score 3,000 points in a season: 3,041 points scored in 82 games played (37.1 ppg) (1986-87) * Wilt Chamberlain is the only other player to achieve this. •MJ is also the only player in NBA history to score over 40 points at age 40, and he did it twice! •In 1988, MJ earned: Dunk Champ, All Star Game MVP, NBA Scoring Title, League MVP and Defensive Player of the Year. For him too win a ring in the 80s he woulda had to beat the Lakers a team with 3 or 4 hall of famers, the Celtics, and the Sixers with 3 hall of famers just to get a ring. So both faced some competition. And it's pretty hard to say who the goat it's been plenty of great players I'm cool if you got LeBron over him.

You missed a very important category. Clutch. Making game winning shots. Making game winning plays. Jordan all day. And leadership? Come on man, Lebron can't ever compare. Michael elevated his team and the sport to another level.

Yes it him took him 7 years but he never lost after that, plus a whole different league when Jordan was playing. What makes Jordan the best is the journey he went through to become a champion 🏆

Bro you’re sleeping on the old timers. Mfers could literally knock him down into the court. Lebum wouldn’t survive a season much less a playoff run back then. Lebum would need a team of psychologists if we went up v Bird much less Jordan. Hed fold up like a lawn chair. Wasn’t no flops back then either.

Lol, LeBron didn't want to see Carl Malone Anthony Mason, Rick Malone, the Chief, Alonzo Morning and others under the rules they played under then!

Jordan put the NBA on his shoulders and made it a global phenomenon. Thats why you have your Kobes and Lebrons and D Wades and not to mention so many other foreign players as well.. He set the bar. And still does. Thats why he is what he is.

You're missing a few important points here, in 2002 the nba made changes to the rules to open up the game, speed up the pace and make it easier to score, you can look that up its a fact...in today's game you can't even breath on a player without getting a foul called...when jordan played the defense was tougher aka hand checking...what happens to lebron if you put him in a tougher defensive era where flopping wont help him and what happens to jordan if you put him in today's almost no defense era???...and you're downplaying all those hall of famers jordan beat in the finals not realizing that the reseason they didn't win a chip is because jordan got in the way of that...the mavs weren't a super team and neither were the spurs but lebron was in a super team in miami and only manage to beat a baby okc team and if it wasn't for ray allen in 2013 he would have lost to the spurs 2wice in a row...the only legit one was 2016 maybe thanks to dreymond getting suspended...not to mention after 1999 the west became the power conference in the league and the east got weak making it easier to come out of the east against weaker teams, lets not forget who came out of the east in 1999 ( the 8 seed knicks team with no patrick ewing)...and also in Jordan's last finals run he was 35yrs old and he retired because the gm wanted to brake up the team not bcuz he was done...he would have beaten the younger version of that spurs team that lebron had so much trouble with...and lastly the game is not called passball its called BASKETBALL and the purpose of it is to put the ball in the basket more than your opponent and nobody ever in the history of the game did that better than MICHAEL JORDAN

You should understand and study NBA history, or at least go back and study up on the 80's/90's basketball. Calling today's NBA better makes you look stupid. *(not saying you are, just that it does make you look that way.
