My friend you just watched the GOAT. I promise its not even close. He played defense 💯 of the time, he hustled 💯 of the time. He was the most clutch shooter I've ever seen in 50+ years of watching the NBA. He was a once in a lifetime player. If you dont know then you don't know.

Spot on. When I think of MJ, I can picture the words HEART and HUSTLE. The man was SAVAGERY. The ALPHA on that court. He was feared. And all that competed against him or was on his teams had to try HAAAARD to keep up. And they couldn’t. That bar was set so f@cking high it was impossible to reach…… Even till today…… No one can reach it… NO ONE!!!!!

Its a little disrespectful to say he should of never went and played baseball. I dont think many of us will know what it feels like to have your father murdered the way he was and be in the public eye dealing with it. He did what he had to do to get over the grief he was going thru. He wore 45 because they had retired 23 when he left and they had to wait till the next season to un-retire it, thats why he didn’t wear it long.

@@stevenclarke4067 Jordan logged only 17 regular season games before the 1995 playoffs, but he did offer a few glimpses of the old MJ, including his "double nickel" performance at Madison Square Garden. The Bulls dispatched the Hornets in the first round, setting the stage for a semifinal battle with a Magic team led by Anfernee "Penny" Hardaway and Shaquille O'Neal. At the end of Game 1, Magic guard Nick Anderson poked the ball away from an uncharacteristically careless Jordan - he finished with eight turnovers - leading to an easy dunk for former Bulls forward Horace Grant. Orlando held on for a 94-91 victory, and Anderson thoroughly enjoyed getting the better of Jordan. "No. 45 doesn't explode like No. 23 used to," Anderson said after the game. "No. 45 is not No. 23. I couldn't have done that to No. 23." That comment lit a fire under Jordan, who came out for Game 2 with the classic No. 23 on his jersey. The NBA fined the Bulls $25,000 for not reporting the change, but they were fine with the trade-off. Jordan scored a game-high 38 points, pushing Chicago to a 104-94 win. So much for keeping it in the United Center rafters

Mchale is the only player in NBa history to shoot 60% FG and 80% FT that team had 2 previous MVPs Dennis Johnson was a finals MVP and 9 all defensive teams. A single person cannot beat that. MJ wore 45 after coming out of retirement. 45 was his brother's #. He chose 23 because he said he'd be happy if he was half as good as his brother. MJ is the GOAT because of his complete resume: from accolades, winning accomplishments, avg. stats, analytics and less importantly legacy. He is on or beat the top in almost every category. The fact you didn’t mention what he did in the league before pippen arrived shows how much you actually know your basketball. Only mfs that read memes on social media would downplay what Jordan did, mentioning pippen. Acting like a 10 min mixtape of dude bodying mfs is normal and every player does it, “gotta see more”. Be real with yourself and the shit you actually said throughout this vid. Btw. That free throw out back dunk happened in the 90s homie. Lebron joined the heat in 2010. Stil has the highest average PPG in both the regular season and playoffs whilst atempting an average of just 1.7 3PT shots per game, in 7 straight years he won the Scoring Title averaging 30+PPG every year whilst missing a grand total of just 7 games. Very perceptive about how different Jordan looked physically when he returned to basketball in '95. According to Jordan's trainer Tim Grover, Jordan had to train his body in a completely different way for baseball, which is why he looked so different physically when he returned to basketball. Kobe called Jordan late at night back in the 2000's and asked him what basketball moves he was working on at age 7, because he wanted to teach Gigi some moves. Jordan told him at that age he wasn't playing basketball, he was playing baseball. Jordan's first love was baseball, not basketball. That's why Jordan retired in 93 and went to pursue a career in baseball. He and his father were planning that move since 91, but Jordan wanted to accomplish something Magic and Bird never did, before stepping away from basketball for good. After he accomplished the threepeat in '93, Jordan felt he didn't have anything left to prove in basketball. If the baseball lockout had not occured in 1995, Jordan probably would have never returned to basketball.

Do your research first. You didn't even know that MJ won an NCAA championship. As a matter of fact, he hit the game winning shot as a freshman. Also, MJ won Olympic Gold as a college player, before even entering the NBA he played the NBA All-Stars and beat them 8-0. Team NBA vs Team USA. Magic Johnson said that Jordan would be the best player to ever play the game, at that time. Next thing is that Scottie Pippen was not the reason MJ got out of the 1st round the year Pippen showed up. MJ was the reason the Bulls got out of the 1st round. Pippen was averaging 10 mins of play time, coming off the bench behind a player with similiar numbers as his. He average about 8 points. Jordan on the other hand was the MVP of the League that year and this is what he did: NBA MVP, Scoring Champ, DPOY, NBA All-Star Game MVP, NBA Slam Dunk Champ, Steals Champ, 200+ Steals/100+ Blocks, had eighteen 40+ point games and four 50+ point games, and did all of that while averaging 35ppg, 5-6 asts, 5-6 rbs, 3 stls, and 1.6 blocks. So lets put that lie to rest about Pippen being the reason and he saved MJ. No, Pippen just happen to come to the Bulls at the right time. Pippen came to the Bulls in 87. They won in 91. The Bulls started winning when they gelled as a team. And Horace Grant came in and was a big factor too.

Let me start with, he hit the game winner as a freshman in college. The shots he made in the NBA, especially in the paint, was doing an era of shot blockers. True shot blockers! I hear a lot of people talk about his 3-point shooting. MJ was a opportunistic 3-point shooter. He didn't just come down firing 3's. The NBA had specialist for that back then, everybody on the team wasn't waiting at the 3-point line to fire up a 3. lol. In saying that, it makes his ppg average even more astonishing, because that wasn't his game. He also did all of that in a controlled system, not the way we see it done today with all iso's. Now they did iso him, but that was mostly in clutch moments, or, him just going on one of his tears. I can understand the people who grew up seeing Lebron, calling him the GOAT. But MJ, quite simply was a different animal!! 3 of the 4 biggest shots MJ every made, have been in Finals/Championships...College and the NBA.

It is difficult to change a lot of people’s mind because this video you just saw is just his offense and some defensive highlights. Sometimes you have to watch how games were played back in the days but there’s no time for that or there aren’t a lot of videos available. Also, watch his fadeaway videos. That became his bread and butter towards the end of the career because he wasnt as athletic as he was when he was young.

Jordan broke his foot at the beginning of his second season in the NBA. He missed most of that season and only played in the last 20 or so games on a minutes restriction. The Bulls regressed as a team without Jordan that year and ended up as an 8th seed, where they faced the #1 seeded Boston Celtics with 5 Hall of Famers in the first round. They predictably got swept. The next year Jordan went bananas and averaged 37ppg after the Bulls' 2nd and 3rd leading scorers from the previous season (both cocaine users) left the team. The Bulls record improved to 40 wins but that was only good enough for the 7th seed in the playoffs. They would again meet the Boston Celtics in the first round and they were swept again. It is Jordan's injury in his second season along with roster changes that held the Bulls back from postseason victories during his first three seasons with the team. Scottie arrived in 1987 but he was a bench player averaging 7 ppg. Scottie took three seasons to develop into a reliable second option for the Bulls. The reason why the Bulls improved in the playoffs the year after Scottie's arrival was because of coaching consistency, roster consistency, and MJ having his best overall individual season up to that point. In their first playoff series together, Scottie averaged 10.6ppg, 2.4apg , 5.4 rpg on 44% shooting. Jordan averaged 45 ppg, 4.8 apg, 5.4 rpg, 2.8 spg , 92% FT, & 56% FG. That was the first playoff series that the Bulls won. Did Scottie's presence make a difference? Sure. But Charles Oakley was the Bulls second best player at that time, not Scottie Pippen. But the Bulls began and ended with Michael Jordan during that particular time.

16:03 That game winner was against Cleveland and that year they were the favorites to take the east. It was the second series in a row that was quite possibly the most physical stretch of basketball games Jordan battled through! I'm a Clevelander... And it's hard for me to describe the emotions I felt in that moment. The Cavaliers had been stellar almost all season. But no excuses. Jordan's performance in that series made all of us fans here. Respect where it's due! Even when they put that clip into the Gatorade commercials. Mike deserved his spotlight!

Why be a King when you can be a God. I am and I have always been an MJ fan. I sat in front of the TV and watched every game he played in. I had his poster in my room. I have shoes on my feet Michael Jordan is the goat that will never be another they will never be aman that possessed so much talent that players that are Hall of Fame now will admit they were scared of. They would wear his shoes on the court playing him.

Michael Jordan has an entire Hall Of Fame career of accolades that Lebron don’t even have yet. 2 More Rings 2 More Finals Mvps 1 DPOY 4 More All Defensive Team 1 More League MVP 9 More Scoring Titles (Yes, 9) 3 More NBA Steals Leader Nothing But Gold in the Olympics. (Lebron has a Bronze don’t he lol) When Jordan makes it to the championship round of anything he wins. Between college, Olympics and the NBA. His airness is 11-0 MJ played all 82 games 9 times in his career Compared to Lebron doing it once. Only 4 times in NBA History has a player won the scoring title, MVP, was 1st Team All-Defense, led playoff in scoring and FMVP. All 4 done by the Goat…Michael Jeffrey Jordan. Lebron has longevity of Jordan and that is all. Jordan is more efficient and did more in less time. If you still need more video then you are clearly delusional.

One of the reasons for the retirement, was his father was murdered, and he said he needed to clear his head. His father was a baseball player, so he wanted to honor him with baseball. The number 45 had great significance for him, but he said it didn't "Feel" right, so he paid the fines EVERY game for wearing a Retired number, finally the league gave in...

Yeah, that loser MJ. Got beat 3-1 in the first rd to a Bucks team with Sidney Moncrief and Terry Cummings in their primes and was beat by LARRY BIRD the next two seasons (‘86 Celtics are still considered among the all time best teams) while having little to no help from his own teammates. In those 3 seasons, he was only Rookie of the Year, won a scoring title, Slam Dunk title, 3 times an All-Star, All-NBA 2nd team, All-NBA 1st team, before Pippen was drafted. Then there was a stellar college run (NCAA champ, hitting the game winning shot as a freshman, 2x All-American first team, and Player of the Year), and won an Olympic gold medal (that team went undefeated against a team of All-Star NBA players in a series of exhibition games) before playing a minute of NBA ball. I’m sure Pippen and his 8 pts 4 rebounds and 2 assists from the bench was the REAL reason MJ won his first MVP and the DPOY for the ‘87-88 season, along with the all the other awards for that season. If only we could all be losers like MJ.

Come on man. Jordan’s father was just killed and his father always thought he was a better baseball player than basketball. In memory of his father, he tried it. At the time I thought like you, but someone helped me to consider differently. And they were right. He had the ability and the courage to step outside of his comfort zone. That’s huge.
