Awsome video - Kobe is a nice seaside town. I remember your winter visit while you were freezing and now what a contrast in the heat. Hoping it has not been too hot for E-biking. Enjoying the shaved ice at the terrace close to the ocean must be a great fun. Although it would be nice to see Kobe from above, as it would be too scary for you dear Rion it would not be worth trying it. Also the OC card only work for Iphone and Japan Android. if you have any Android not from Japan it will not work. however we should be able to buy the Welcome card still or in Osaka and get the Ic one there
Right. I was trying to figure it out stateside in preparation for my upcoming trip to Japan. Apparently, the Japanese phones have something the foreign phones do not that allows connection to IC card. One thing I am considering is buying a Japanese Google watch so I can connect my Suica to it, but idk if it's worth the cost.

I have heard others explaining the Suica issue. Apparently it is too many people like me that kept the card for a souvenir. I didn't realise there is a chip shortage. Also, I have heard people say that the app on the iPhone only works on Japanese iPhones.
Went to Kobe in late March, China Town, waterfront, took the cable car to the top of the Mountain and went to 2 different sake breweries, it was a fun day. Lots of terrorist were there that day as well
We have something similar to your hanbagu steaks in my Country called Frikadellen, minced meat with traditionalle old bread that was put into milk to get soft and several spices plus onions. depending on the region its either minced very fine or only slightly giving it different mouth feeling.

Really inspiring to see how Kobe could be an easy & fun day trip from Osaka. 🤩 And so sorry for the bland broth… Having grown up around LA’s Chinatown, I’m so used to & quite enjoy these noodle soups. 😂😅 Whenever I got sick, I always asked my mom to get rice noodle soup with a large roast duck leg. 😋 When you go to HK, get roast goose-it’s even more meccha oishii.

Going by this video, Kobe hasn't changed much since we visited a few years ago. We went to the Anpanman museum (although didn't know anything about Anpanman, so we were slightly bemused), and also on the Ferris Wheel in the rain. There was an Elvis convention on at the time, so there were many impersonators wandering the streets too! The thing that really stuck in our heads was the number of bakeries in Kobe... the smell of sugar and pastries filled the air.
The claw machine cuddly toy was Shaun the sheep, he was in the film Wallace and Gromit the close shave. I love all Wallace and gromit films, especially the grand day out film, they went to moon because they ran out of cheese.

You must have been there early. I live in Kobe and don't eat in Chinatown. It's over priced and the food is not good. In addition Kobe beef is over rated and over priced.
From Osaka to Kobe takes about one hour? I think that’s misleading. Most people think Umeda as the Osaka station. From Osaka Umeda to Kobe Sannomiya takes only 30min by JR.
You have such positive attitude. Glad you are showing it the slow way. Funny you missed your stop on the osaka station. Nampa.. Im learning a lot on the names by watching your and other videos
If you come to Kobe for the beef, please keep in mind that most restaurants are closed between 2pm-5pm. Even then, most restaurants require a reservation, and the staff doesn't speak much English. I wouldn't recommend going unless you know how to speak Japanese, or have someone in your party that knows Japanese.
