Thanks for the video! I am borrowing a friend Kobo but it's ancient..works fine but realized I love reading off an e-reader. Now I want to buy my own but not sure what size. Sage felt huge in my hands seeing the slightly smaller one of it I think I may go that route. Thanks for showing them all together.
Hello, I came across your page when looking for eReader, your channel is VERY informative and thorough! I'm purchasing my first eReader and I'm considering Kobo Libra 2, Hyread Gaze Mini C (to be released in March 2024), or Boox 7.8" Tab Mini C. I will mainly be using it for reading and for audio books. Is the page turning speed better in closed system compare to open system, I'm trying to choose a device with less ghosting and flicking. Also, I often get books from a platform which requires Google Play, when using 3rd party app on Hyread/Boox, will it affect the speed/smoothness of page turning when using 3rd party app in the open system (again, trying to avoid ghosting and flicking)? Thanks so much!
Whats with the contrast between the models? On the third manga page ("Kill it without fail") theres a lot more detail present in the smallest model compared to the other 3 models. Note the first panel the clouds are completely absent.
I have the small kobo eReader clara 2e for a year. Now I am finding we use our phone more to download audio books from our library using Libby or Hoopla and playing them in the car as we travel. I wonder if using a small cheap android tablet would serve us better for playing audio books? Kobo has just come out with color eReaders and they can use Kobo audiobooks, but why pay for those when you can get audiobooks for free? ANy suggestions on a cheap tablet or audio book player?
