@@ObsessiveCarDetailer When I moved I had a clear out but I should really have another one but I am going to keep my H2GO. I have said before if I could only have two brands it would be Garage Therapy and Koch.
hey this was a very well done video. and the car used was perfect example since it had some scratches so it showed how to expect it to look since most people do have scratches on the trim that look like this. thanks. you gained a new sub 🙏🏼
At long last i don't have to order more product because of your review.................. i already use Top Star! Glad you like it as it is on my shelf as a keeper too.
I would have pre cleaned with a damp microfiber first then follow up with the Koch Chemie TS and as I went around with the TS I would have been rinsing out my sponge with fresh clean water.
You dont see many reviews on them and I don't understand why unless its because they dont send a lot of freebies out🤷🏻♂️. I bought this from County Detailing £14.98 for 1L
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I think you’d probably right there, they don’t send anything for free so most people won’t review it. I think their products are great and reasonably priced
I looked on a few web pages and it says it leaves a semi-gloss finish. What do you think it looked like in person? Was it shinny or more of a natural sheen? Looks like it left a really rich finish. I just don't want anything shinny on my plastics. I like them just like they came from the factory. I guess I am more of a matte finish guy but this product looks really good. I've already got their "POL STAR" but this TOP STAR looks good as well. What I like about POL STAR is you can clean just about every surface in the interior with it except the glass.
Hi Joe, it left a sheen on the plastic and looks as good today as it did when I applied it. If it’s a matt finish you are looking for then maybe not for you. I like it. It looks clean and finished like. BMW should look in my opinion but definitely not matt
Careful...that's how I started with Bilt Hamber 😀 Looks like a good product. Yet to try a Koch Chemie product. Maybe it's time I did. Nice vid as always.
Nissan is well known for a lot of cheap hard plastic, but It looks like another great product from Koch, this for gruby interior and GT interior cleaner for a well looked after interior 👍🏻
I would use both, the GT to clean & the Ts to dress and protect. As demonstrated it can clean but I would use a dedicated cleaner normally for something this grubby
A little too much sheen for my taste as I like a totally natural finish but it’s useful to have a product that does leave something behind where a restorative effect is needed. Funnily enough my daughters car springs to mind as her interior gets pretty filthy at times.
Hi Chris, when the interior is as worn as this one, it really brought it back to life. I have it on my X3 and I wouldn't say it added sheen but looks new
Hi, it’s one I took off of an old CarPro bottle. I tend to save the spray heads that work well when I finish a product and only recycle the bottles. Hope that helps, I know you can buy good spray heads but why if you have a used one that you know works well🤷♂️🤷♂️
I'm on my way down Martin, that cake looked tasty, Ive got my own kettle fitted in the truck. After your recommendation for the Ps I think I'll have some of that for the trucks interior (there's a lot). If you say its a keeper, then that will do me!!!! Keep up them great reviews mate 👏 👏👏
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer that's no good. You'll have to spoil her or at least get back in her good books. I've been told bribery is an ugly word ("the wife" told me that) 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi, I did say in the video that normally I would use a cleaner first especially with a car as grubby as this one was but I wanted to demonstrate its cleaning ability. Take your point with the applicator but it was an old one destined for the bin 🤷🏻♂️
Enjoyed the video ... I've used a few of their products now - The glass cleaner, nano magic plast on some exterior plastics, Motorplast in the engine bay, FSE and recently tried Protector Wax - more for the family car and probably winter washes in a few months. Been happy with their products, but I've steered clear of GSF. I get the impression that their products are best paired with a dedicated cleaner for anything heavy - I think they are all quite gentle. I do have some Green star but I've only used that to clean down the kids trampoline after the winter!
Hi Roger I have an issue with fad in as much as having to add another product to it before it removes dirt through a snowfoam lance. I’m going to try it as a shampoo
Fingers crossed I don’t let you down Peter. It certainly works for me. I really rate most of the KochChemie range, real quality. I have most of it on my shelf that I always replenish. Interior dressing is always a difficult one though as it’s a very personal thing. Please let me know how you get on with it Peter
Great vids! Did you say were going to go over it again with a detail spray? If so, then doesn't it fails as a dressing? Which dressing would you use? I've used autoglym interior which adds a lot of darkening
I meant go over the smooth shiny plastic Robert, like the consul area not the plastic door trim or the top of the dash. The QD of choice for me would be GT 2QD. I have Autoglym on the shelf but I think this is a better product and won't be replacing the Autoglym when its gone and Im an Autoglym fan
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer Thank you so much for getting back with me. That is great to know. I just purchased some because I used Chemical Guys for plastic protection and it is slicker than shit. I use their Pol Star and that is absolutely AMAZING! Thanks again and have a blessed day
@@ObsessiveCarDetailer I have just started my mobile car detailing business and the bulk of my products are Chemical Guys with the exception of Pol Star, which I love. I'm sure I will love the TS and over time, since I just started up, will probably switch all my products to Koch Chemie. Thanks again
@@TheZuk224 Good luck with the business mate, I have quite a few kochchemi products on my shelf and yet to find one that im not happy with although their gsf needs a little help on dirty cars. If you have any questions after watching my videos then just drop me a comment & I will always get back to you
Always tricky with the interior as lots I found leave quite a heavy shine, or appear patchy, then when you open the door when it's raining you get a noticeable mark appear.
Nice video. We just got Koch Chemie in the US not too long ago. So far I've picked up leather star, top star, pol star and Eulex. Leather star is great! The TS and PS I haven't used yet since I just got them. The Eulex is not that impressive but I've only used it once so we will see how it does in the long run. Where did you get the spray top for the liter bottles?
Hello Juan, great to hear from you. The spray trigger was just one I had laying around. I have used Eulex in a recent video where I decon washed my wheels before applying a ceramic coating and again used a spray trigger. I found it works better that way as you can spray the product on and leave it to soak before agitating and removing any tar. hope that is of help & thanks for watching👍
Love Koch products. I use POL star to clean my leather, very cheap and disputable. LS leather star dressing great as well and have GUF to try a dressing for rubber mats.
Hi I got them from Clean & Shiny a few years ago but haven’t had much luck in finding them in the last couple of years. The last lot I bought were from County Detailing but they are nearly twice the size. Sorry I can’t be of more help 🤷♂️
Koch Chemie do make very good products, I have Green star and PSA. The cake you had looks yummy, Looks like cherry cake to me. My favorite cake is Victoria sponge.
It was a fruit cake with big Cherries in it and it was delicious, I would have accepted a Victoria sponge. I will order one for next time. If you see me with cake mix and jam on my head you know I ordered it🤣
The Koch Chemie Top Star Interior Plastic Trim Semi-Matt will efficiently clean the interior plastic and rubber surfaces of your vehicle. It will provide a fresher look as Top Star leaves behind a semigloss, which will also permanently shelter your vehicle from dirt and UV rays, as well as eliminating the presence of static. Top Star should not be used on areas where slipperiness would be dangerous, such as pedals, steering wheels, or tyres. Koch Chemie PS Premium Plastic Care is the premium product in the area of plastic care products. Maintains and protects over months and is extremely UV-stable. The treated parts regain their original new semi-matt appearance thanks to a special care components system (wax-silicone dispersion), which bonds firmly with the treated surface. Stops door seals from freezing. The extremely long service life, fast and simple use and pleasant fragrance make Plast Star an unbeatable product. Optimally suited for tyres and rubber parts as well. Areas of use External plastic and rubber parts, tyres, door seals, etc.
Hi James, with the introduction of Garage Therapy tyre serum I am using that as its a rubber conditioner but depends what you have on the shelf. CarPro perl is also good if you have it
Hi Ross, for the interior I would mark it better than Perl. I think Perl is a great product and have used it for years but its a bit of a jack of all trades but master of none. In another video I have used KochChemie Ps on the exterior plastic trim and that has performed better than Perl as far as longevity is concerned like around the black plastic exterior skirting of the car
G'day, how are you. It cold and damp in my part of the UK. Up until recently I preferred to use either angel wax Vision or Autoglym Fast Glass but recently Garage Therapy have released a glass cleaner that in my view is a better product so that's my new go to cleaner
Hi Martin, Nice to see you finding a few decent ones you enjoy 👍🏼I’ve only used FSE from Koch tbh because I had to see what the hype was about and it is also a quality product and great value but I prefer to stick to the smaller British brands where possible.
My windows fog up after long day the car been sitting in the sun is it normal after I used top star? I cleaned all interior plastics with GS again and there is no fogging up anymore? Am i using the TS wrong?
I use Meguiars Detailer range quick interior detailer it’s one of few you can use on any surface piano black, sat nav screens etc, leaves a nice factory finish
Great video Martin thank you. I’m looking for a new interior dressing but I’m always a bit hesitant when it says don’t use on the steering wheel etc. Would you say the finish is oily/slippery to the touch?
No I wouldn't say it feels slippery particularly but wouldn't use any dressing on a steering wheel unless its a leather one and then only a dedicated leather dressing. Any other type of contact area I would use an APC
Hi, For rubber and plastics where you don’t want any chance of slipperiness, you can use Gummifix, also from Koch. It’s developed for that specifically.
She can't help dad out by cleaning it now n then ? I'm sure the kids wait until dad does it , I'm sure mine do . Specky n Paul don't get spoilt like you do with coffee n cake
Hi Martin,Koch Chemie is a great brand and makes fantastic products, but due to me buying 5L of Garage Therapy interior cleaner I cannot justify getting this too.I know GT interior cleaner is not a dressing, but that’s fine,I like the finish it gives and if I need dressing I can use GT quick detailer. It’s nice to see you are well looked after, tea and homemade cake!.
