The fact Senga can maintain his fork with different balls is even more impressive. Seams are wider in Japan so the slightly smaller ball might be easier to manipulate.

Note that while many pitchers who throw a fork kill the spin, Senga's fork actually packs a gyro spin with the axis pointed downwards. This makes the ball wobble and drop way more rapidly than most forks.

Pitches are coming in really fast, you would have to calculate that within that short of a time.

Hitters generally don't pick up spin very well in general, despite what most people think. And pairing it with an upper 90s fastball makes your decision making time that much quicker. Very tough to pick up

It’s tough to hit when you can either get a ball in the dirt or 99 at the knees. You have to decide to swing fast

Sanga's pitch was nasty but Longoria could've been safe by a mile if his head was in the game. If I'm managing AZ I would've sat him the rest of the game.
