This one those songs for me that hits me personally. I finally realized it was time to change my self but there are still days it tries to creep back up on me and take over again. Thanks to koe and songs like this it help me get threw it to better days. 👍

4 months sober, I’ll never drink again. The damage done to the people I love, to myself, only by the grace of God did I not hurt myself or someone else, or worse. And it was God that took away my desire to drink literally over night. Night of my birthday, May 1st, drunk again of course, stomach on fire, blood in my crap, dropped to my knees and admitted to God I needed His help and that I want to quit but that I wasn’t strong enough to do it on my own. The next day I had zero desire to ever drink again. I’m not religious, you don’t have to be, God doesn’t care, He loves you no matter what and only wants you to know it and for you to allow Him to heal you. Talking to a friend, an alcoholic, this after I had quit drinking, I was trying to help him and we got on the subject of God. I’ll preface this by saying that at this point I hadn’t REALLY given God the credit. Anyways we got on the subject of God and I said “God is like a father figure who’s expectations you can never live up to.”. At that very moment I heard a voice say “That’s not true! I love you no matter what.”. The love I was feeling in that moment, there are no words and I just broke down crying tears of joy. More was said, he consoled me saying it was Ok, I love you. Told me to tell people what had happened, my story and how God is real he does love you as a father with unconditional love, absolute forgiveness. The expectations are simple, Love yourself, love your family and neighbors, the rest will fall into place. If you are still drinking and TRULY wan’t to quit, please ask God for help. I recently got married at 25 and my wife asked me to stop drinking and I did and I most definitely miss it I came from a line of drunk and drug addict parents and and a mental and physical abuse relationship with them as a kid and this hits home no one really knows what one song can do to someone I heard this at work and just started to break down all I use to do is drunk drive it made my nights barrable and I'm glad I can say I'm taking it slow day by day who ever reads this your a king and or queen 👑 and u got this

Horrific truck accident laid in pinned unfound for 4 hours! Here I am 10 years later and the best version of me I could ever want and sober! Everything in moderation! Been drinkin everyday for almost 10 years now, I'm 29 years old, I dont even drink cause I like it, I drink to not get the shakes, the sweats, seizures, panic attacks and all that stuff that comes when ya stop. I finally got insurance at my new job and I'm gonna see if my insurance covers rehab cause I cant just stop cold turkey I tried 3 times and had seizures everytime. I'm gonna give this a shot (no pun intended lol) I'm ready to change now lord if you hear me I've never lost faith in you and please forgive me

This song hurts me to my core because as a medic One of my worst calls happened today this evening a drunk driver hit another car and killed a 6-month-old. 4th DUI 4 times the legal limit.

My marriage of 7 years ended due to him finding the bottom of a bottle once to often. Before our divorce was final earlier thus year he passed away. He had diabetes but he drank everyday! It pushed his illness fast as when he was drunk all he could think about was that next drink 😢

Last Summer I was driving around one weekend enjoying the new vehicle I'd recently purchased, my windows were rolled down and I was stopped at a red light. A younger than myself gal was beside me blasting this song at top volume. I must say, it grabbed me and held tight! Luckily I had enough time to grab my phone and Shazam it before we proceeded through the green light. It has become a favorite Feels Song of mine. My daughter lost her daddy when she was 10 because he was drunk driving. No matter what you're going through, you'll hurt more people than the peace you'll find. We lived it... and not a single life event goes by that he's not missed, thought about and it opens the wound all over again. All the things he's missed and that she's wanted him to be there for... there are no words. Beautiful vocals though!!

This song is something else… February 16 2018, my life changed hit another car while speeding. Blew a .28, on a suspended licenses. Failed drug tests on probation. Got an alcohol monitor put on me. The day it came off the first thing I did was have a drink. That day ruined my life. Still dealing with it three years later. Not sure if I can’t help it or don’t want to be helped.

8 months sober stay strong y'all 💪 it's a fight everyday

My brother killed himself back in April it wasn't his first try. Got hammered one day after everyone had left the shop, jump in his truck headed straight for the railroad tracks, vehicle on the tracks try to do a header into the train locomotive. Well it didn't work, that was August of last year, but when he did it here in April, he achieved what he was going for. What pisses me off is he was on a bracelet and they couldn't find him? They didn't know where he was? Gone for a week in a park in Toledo. And I'm speaking from experience here. I couldn't walk out on my front porch without my PO calling me immediately. Things got to be figured out probably why they wouldn't let me come to the funeral. I would have had no qualms beating my sister-in-law's ass right on top of my brother's grave. Cuz I know she's the reason why he killed himself, he couldn't do good enough for her, no matter how hard he tried. Even owned his own company, they weren't Rockefellers, but they weren't hurting. With her cute and cuddly nickname, Paycheck With Pants. Last time I seen him I knew he was a Broken Man and there wasn't nothing I could do about it, can't do something when somebody you try to talk to and they just turn around walk away. Had his mind set on it and there was no changing it. I just pray he found some peace finally.
