Wow, just wow! This is for sure the most innovative car company on the world! Everything is built in-house from scratch (complete vertical integration) so there’s zero hinderance of needing to adapt other parts of the car’s design to a fixed part designed by an 3rd party supplier. I think Koenigsegg is ever more innovative than F1 imo because F1 engineers are so limited by the FIA regs. Truly amazing job!

You are right considering most F1 cars copycat each others and are however limited by championship rules. Königsegg pushes the envelope of car design to unmatched heights. And seems to this consistently better and better with each new model.

Christian, said he was walking by one of his staffed engineers who was messing around the CAD designs and replacing the TFG with the V8, and that sparked the idea of the V8, so much brilliant minds worked on this car

Imagine an EV with 2, 3, fk it, 4 Dark Matter motors and a 600 km range. Imagine an EV with 1 DM motor and a 1000km range. 🤔 The Dark Matter motor needs to shake off it's ICE shackles and be allowed to run.

Now imagine we put one of those dark motors inside each wheel - eliminating transmission, shifting, drive shafts, clutches, etc. Imagine he weight savings overall - and major cost savings, would not be something you are interested in at all.

The brakes would be much smaller, rudimentary really with the powerful electric braking in each wheel - enough weigh savings to put a small microwave or coffee maker in the dash?

There would be no weight savings, since you need a ton of battery capacity.

Some day people will make 'organic film batteries' based on the electric eel fish, and they will weigh little more than water yet have storage cap. over 100 times that of heavy metal batteries, with huge bursts of discharge possible, up to 50,000 volts - and we will call them 'Eelectrick Power'. They will work well in airplanes and flying boats and the cars I designed with them fly, fly fast and fly well. MAYBE in a future life...

Did I forget to mention the engine would be turning a generator, thru a belt to insulate it from all that high voltage? Also to prevent corrosion. No transmission at all! Sure, some people will miss shifting and have to get used to continuous power all the way to... ...unlimited top speeds really. Also they curse these cars as they easily, quietly, pull away from them on every turn and straight.

I'll give the benefit of the doubt and assume when people here say "no hype, just facts", they're referring to the materials and tech, which are presented in plain sight. As for the performance figures, let's wait for the independently verified tests on an ACTUAL RUN BEFORE calling them FACT. That said, this is my TOP dream sedan.
