Interesting comparison. It depends what you wanna talk about don´t you think? Ozzy is not even a car guy, and probably don´t remember that much of his career either. A beer with Brian Johnson of AC/DC would be cool though. Actually Brian should do another season of Cars That Rock and visit Christian and Koenigsegg in Sweden. That would be awesome.
Christian is an amazing guy and loves what he does, he is effortless in his personality...i hope he has people who can carry his legacy with the same passion after he is done
Ferrari never was the same after Enzo passed away. No one will measure up Christian because Koenigsegg is Christian. Certainly the brand will live on and keep expanding beyond his generation and still be tremendously successful but my point is keep enjoying every time he invite us to see every detail of Koenigsegg with a heart wrenching humility which by the way is truly admirable. He knows his creations are reserved for the super rich and yet he enjoys sharing his passion with us like a normal otherworldly smart person would do
I have so much respect for Christian. His outlook in the car industry is far beyond other manufacturers. Details are insane on each car and no compromise on engineering. Plus the development of the the business and expansion of production is so impressive.
As a Civil Engineer myself, i have some understanding of what it takes to design something special and come up with solutions to things that nobody else will ever see or understand fully. Christian knows every nut, bolt , wire and hydraulic system in every one of his cars. He is a genius of an engineer and I for one have the utmost respect for his beautiful creations
If I had the kind of money where I would consider spending it on a car in this price range it would have to be one of his creations. The passion and attention to detail (especially with respect to the engineering aspects) that this man has makes me want to be a member of the Ghost Squadron.
@@iettord3124 wow, i didn't know that, thanks for the info, he definitely has the mindset of an engineer and if he didn't have any formal training as one, that is even more impressive 👍
I just love how he’s so in tune with everything that’s happening in the factory. He knows what stage each and every chassis is at. He knows exactly what each and every station does. It’s incredible. Huge props to Christian and his team.
He's not unique though. For example Elon Musk also intimately knows the in and outside of more than one company and their products: SpaceX and Tesla are the largest. He was involved in nearly aspects of design and manufacture, of all products. He goes even further than that: He spent 3 years in the Tesla factory, day and night, getting the production for Model 3 up, running, and corrected. He slept on the office couch or even on the floor, so the workforce knows he's on their level and not high and dry giving orders like most executives.
Koenigsegg is evolving and progressing at an insane rate, 10 years ago they were making like 10 cars a year in an airplane hangar…now this and it’s getting even bigger
Most of the increase in the wealth of the world is going to the ultra-rich; supercar makers get to milk them to fund engineering excellence. I hope equally talented engineers are working on battery-electric cars for the masses.
Christian is simply one of the most amazing people the world has ever seen, I could honestly listen to him for hours and hours, his in depth knowledge and passion for every single part of his business is inspirational, I’m absolutely convinced he could make a discussion on where he buys his stationary from totally immersive and fascinating in that completely relaxed style that he is a Jedi master at!
these exclusive tours are incredible. I can listen to CVK all day long. absolutely amazing what goes into these cars. laser etched individual wires? why?? because Koenigsegg 😎
It also shows how much thought goes into every single part. Once you realise how good and simple the "laser etched wire dispensing machine" (LEWDM) is, it's such a no-brainer I wonder why everyone with large amounts of custom wiring doesn't do it. But Koenigsegg does because they took the time to think about such a trivial thing.

Every time Christian says “this is very interesting “ you know you’re in for a treat
What a dream place to produce dream products! They really go above and beyond on EVERY detail! Thanks a lot to you and Christian for letting us have a glimpse of that! Awesome!
Mr. JWW, as impressed I am with you driving and talking about exquisite cars, your main achievement has to be hanging with Christian when he casually presents one outstanding technical achievement after another! What an amazingly down to earth Car Enthusiast Engineer Entrepreneur etc... he is!
I’m mind blown by the engineering behind Koenigsegg it’s so high tech and highly sophisticated, Christian really is killing it, best automotive engineers out there much respect for him
Christian and his team are not only on an unbelievable technical level but they also manage to make every nut, bolt and part of the car a piece of art.
Just amazed by how Christian is so involved, knowledgeable and passionate with the manufacturing of his cars, I work for a car manufacturer myself and I could guarantee most of the high up bosses would not have half a clue of what certain parts are and what they do. His mind and intelligence are on a different level, such a gifted gentleman.
I don't think there has ever been a Christian Von Koenigsegg video that hasn't been awesome, but these past videos mixed with the classic Mr. JWW production skills have been mind blowing... I really can't pick a favorite part between the insights into the little details like the wiring looms, the attention to detail, etc. For example, you standing on the "roll bar" of a windscreen was a pretty epic way to show the quality and over-engineering that goes into these cars.
He has always amazed me with his level of vision and commitment. He is so far ahead of most of his competitors. He has remained small and focused on the consumer. Others are large car companies that focus on their bottom line. He is living his own self made dream job. Hope he is in the game for a very long time.
Bugatti no longer exists, it's Bugatti-Rimac now. Rimac produces some parts for Koenigsegg. Most of the electric motors and battery packs are made by Rimac for them. Rimac also makes some CNC parts for them for some strange reason. There's a lot of Rimac parts in Koenigsegg, that's why they're building their own electric motor and battery production facilities now. They want to be independent of other suppliers. Rimac and Koenigsegg are really good friends, have been for years. They even had collaborative winter testing at Pirelli’s Sottozero Centre a week or so ago.
He had me at that airlock roll up door. I've been in building maintenance for 20 years. All the facilities I've worked in and have never seen a roll up door that smooth and fast. Just baller! And I bet that coffee is wonderful too. Sheesh.
Thanks a LOT for all these Koenigsegg videos, they're the epitome of infotainment. Talk about that you got the Grand Tour over there... incredible opportunity, and I'm so glad you took well care of it and shared it with us.
I love the fact that Christian knows exactly what is going on at every stage of production and development. The fact that he can explain what they have done and why they have done it just shows how involved he is with product development.
I absolutely love love love these trips to the Koenigsegg factory! Does anyone else get this much-privileged access to the inner workings of the factory and to Christian's time? Well done James for a great video.
Having worked at both Boeing and MD Helicopters I am impressed. You don't even find attention to detail like that in the aerospace industry. Although many of the operations are similar this is like comparing a class one clean room environment to a car wash.
The evolution of mr.CVK's factories awe me so much, long way that what he become today, with all the innovation he had made also blew my mind.... 1st the gearless transmission, then the freevalve , now that tiny electric motor that produce 300bhp and 600nm of torque!! Damn that beautiful bald head is a full connected neuron machine...haha
Thank you James for bringing us along. This is a great video. This makes me in love with the Koenigsegg brand, thank you Christian for introducing us to your company.
It is really staggering that one man can know so much about such a large and complicated building and build processes and all the machines that make everything. Unreal
This company never fails to amaze me. The attention to detail and innovation is so interesting to see. I don't have a real frame of reference to know how exceptional this is but I do know they seem to be the only hypercar company showing me what they do in this much detail. Well done.
Not see many inspirational people those days, but Christian is a man that truly cares about the product and not just the numbers. Very good video, thank you
Mr Koenigsegg what an amazing and humble person you are, I have watched so many of your interviews and unveiling's and you come across as your average guy next door who just so happens to build cars, its humbling to see you get excited about an internal roller door in a factory that produces the worlds finest automotive masterpieces, this is the closest I will ever get to one of your cars, very few have made it to Australia so thank you for your insight and the updates.
There is NO Manufacturing in the WORLD that puts more Love and Brain in his Cars than Koenigsegg. Every single part is a piece of art, just Perfect. Much love for you Christian.
Its crazy how Koenigsegg's tech keeps evolving every year, you find out so many new things that they did research and testings on that you never hear any other company do or talk about. its almost like they're spilling the beans, but they know nobody else will be willing to challenge them in their market segment & Christian is so nice and open about how everything works in the company.
One of the things I really love about Christian is that he is showing the world, showing us his factories and cars and projects in such detail as if he is just your average DIY car guy showing you around his garage and tools and his car. He isn't some pretentious individual sitting up there on some cloud as if he isn't a mortal like everyone else. It is truly refreshing, especially in the billion industry, corporate world to see someone that is still genuinely passionate about what they do. This is also evident from the fact that he knows every little thing about his cars and facilities.
Christian is such an amazing person, an endless supply of automotive knowledge. You could have made this 4 hours long and I’d still be glued to the screen every single second of it 👌. Thank you James for bringing us such entertaining and informative videos, I love them!
Amazing! Dyneema is mad science stuff! I just bought some 4 mm diameter dyneema rope (for Windsurfing), you can put 1.5 tons of weight on that tiny rope without breaking.
Christian will go in the history books as a true Pioneer with pure love for cars and passion to do it right and the best way possible! One of a kind guy!
Koenigsegg has always been a top brand to me. However watching these tours and the depth that is shown to the public is second to none, especially compared to any other brand. The fact that the ceo is so excited and is not rushed throughout these tours shows the kind of brand they are because the culture starts at the top. I have a whole new level of respect for the company now.
Fantastic personality and open minded guy. No wonder he's light years ahead of the competition. A smile and a cup of coffee makes a world of difference.
Wow great video To me the coolest attribute of Christian is that he's just so down to earth despite his awesome achievements and seemingly endless knowledge of his cars
I don't believe that there is a "Cooler" CEO on the planet. Christian is the automotive "willy Wonka" strolling the halls of his factory in a dope pair of jeans, perfect white trainers and a coffee in his hand!!! Just EPIC!! JDUB keep bringing the heat videos bro!! Love the new watch series too buddy. Kind regards Ben from NZ 😉😎💪👌😃🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thank you ! I mean you probably want me dead with the quality of these videos but I love all I've seen about Koenigsegg so far, incredible work from start to finish, really can't wait to see their plan for the next 10 years
I've been following you since sub 20,000 subscriptions! I absolutely love your videos and the content. I could listen to Christian talk cars all day....You're ok also!🤣🤣...Keep the good stuff coming
Hi James ,That was a seriously interesting video. As an engineering inspector the engineering in this factory is on another level. I love christians knowledge on everything going on in his factory. I’d love to see more factory tours like this , very informative, great video.
What is more noticeable is how Christian knows every part of the process in every detail! Very impressive! How many other car company execs. Could say that?
This sort of thing on RU-vid just blows me away,....the world needs to know, and thankfully Christian doesn't mind showing us what he's been doing ~ amazing! This man deserves all his success!...the harness, "the nerve system of the car," how true, incredible!.....More in time if possible.
Business goals, office goals, warehouse goals and production goals. It’s always wonderful to see how others operate and to pick up some ideas, but also inspirational.
Amazing video, Christian is so interesting, you can feel how much he love his job and how much he know about every little thing around each car, in the last few years Koenigsegg has become my favorite car maker and it's partly because of him.
