hey man, thanks for watching the vid. I could possibly have put in the inputs for the video, but it may have caused even more confusion. The commands for the the combo into the drive cancel and those of the "free" cancel look/are the same. It's just the timing that is different.
@stephens513cs. I'm glad I could help. I'm the guy who is more from the "other direction" I main KOF and MK, but I do play pretty much all fighting games.
Yeah, sorry about that. I got distracted mid-edit. The thing I did was basically just see how late the normal super-cancel can be done. Then I practiced the timing to do it just after. I set up Iori in the corner and then practiced by doing the qcb+HP, qcb+HP, qcf, hcb+HP followed by pressing LP. The LP would just show me how early I registered a hit after the empty cancel worked. Hope that helps
Fucking hell, this is so helpful even years later, I was so confused seeing most of ex iori bnb ending in dplp after the 2 rekkas, but i cant pull it off, turns out theres a trick to it! But its such a fucked up motion and timing, my thumb hurts, but hey its KoF so its normal i guess, thanks again brother, I wouldn't know this if it wasn't for this video!!!!
It's odd for me too, because a friend of mine suggested I do it. To me the explanation I made sounded daft, but hey, it has helped a lot of folks. So great, and thanks for the feedback.
so basically do his super but not using his drive meter to cancel. instead the super comes later than usual to finish the animation earlier in order to connect more combos
This is not usefuls combos you showed i think. I remember something such as two rekkas, dragon cancel two rekkas and fury for normal combos, i'm not sure though.
