@@benrichard3675 on the islands they just want to hold onto something of value just incase you damage the bike and they want to claim money. most will accept a driving license rather than a passport. However, if you want to rent in the bigger cities or bigger islands, a passport is more often than not requested
@@123LIVINGINTHAILAND since 25 years I ve always been requested my passport only, on Samui, Phangan, Tao, Ko Chang islands with locals excepted with foreigners owners when I'm recommended by expats friends I think it's easier on Ko Larn as the rent is for a few hours...thanks for your reply and your video
