Thank you for being patient with her English, which is improving day-by-day. Like a lot of "Tinglish" speakers in Thailand, Rose is often mixes up her R's and L's and often doesn't pronounce the ends of her words. She's working on her language, but for now it's kind-of cute!
Please do 'smash the Like button' too! Not only does this help her RU-vid channel grow and it gives Rose positive reinforcement that there are people across the world that are interested in learning about different cultures, stories and life experiences.
Rose would be thrilled to have you Subscribe to follow her journey and is delighted to receive your comments. Thank you for your support 🙏

Rose is back!!! OK, that's a Basa fish, which is a member of th catfish family, so both you guys are right. 😉 Great to see you both having fun. I'm planning my next year trip as we speak. 👌

(Dave typing) We knew you'd recognise any fish from 40 paces! 555 Yes, Rose has now had a couple of weeks to mourn the passing of her Mum, who passed away earlier this month. Sorry for the absence, but you'll understand that focus had to switch to funeral arrangements, etc. The next few videos will likely be a bit jumbled/out of sequence as we are both doing some video editing (I usually don't do this--because I want Rose to learn--but we are running about 2 months behind reality now, so need to catch-up). Hope you're well and see you in the New Year in Thailand!

@johngalt6708 First of all, I would like to express my apologies for being gone for a long time and not replying to some of the comments on the posts I posted on RU-vid. Now that I'm back, I'll continue to focus on editing videos. Thank you very much to you. Still waiting to watch my video and hope we'll meet in Thailand and have coffee together with Dave.

@@TravelsWithRose Thank you. By the way, we love the Jungle Club too. We went up on our scooter…..slowly. So steep

@@MrTlovinglife I think the car you drove was better than the Yaris we used. Because sometimes when I sat next to Dave when he was driving, I was afraid that the car would not have the power to go up and down and that the brakes would fail. I thought to myself that if the brakes It breaks and I'll jump out of the car in time😁😂

I really enjoyed this video THANK YOU. Did you stay at the Chaba Hotel? because somebody told me it is now called Matcha. Also is it within walking distance to Fisherman's village? the reason I ask is because I don't drive a scooter so was just wanting a hotel within walking distance. I have been watching many videos on Koh Samui to decide which area or rather beach to stay @. there is so much choice it is rather confusing . the beetle leaf spring rolls looked amazing !!!!! absolutely popping with flavour.

(Dave typing) We stayed at the Hacienda in Fisherman's Village which is on Bophut beach. Near Chaweng beach (which is the main/busiest town on Koh Samui), we stayed at Casa de Mar which was about a 15 minutes walk from Chaweng. To be honest, the Matcha Hotel (renamed from Chaba Hotel) looks better than both the hotels we stayed at -- we usually target the budget and mid-range, so we pay 1000-2500 THB per night for hotels. The Matcha appears to be around 3000+ THB per night on Booking.com so it's fair to expect it to be much better for the money. Chaweng is a good area for booking excursions and nightlife, although in our opinion, as a somewhat "older" couple (I'm in my forties), I have to say that we really enjoyed a couple of nights in Fisherman's Village too. If you're working with a bigger budget then take a look at the Hansar Samui Resort & Spa, the Anantara Bophut Resort, the Karma Resort and the Holiday Inn Bophut. We generally start our search for accommodation on Google Maps--noting the reviews--and then booking via Agoda or Booking.com which do the best prices 80% of the time. Hope this helps!
