Crazy to see how much development has gone on in the last 40 years. Back in the early 80's had a little cottage on one of the beaches on Koh Samui for $4/night. Electricity was only about a couple of hours a night. The one nearby bar had a generator so we could watch a movie tape on the TV. The night skies were unreal. The only way to get there was by boat (definitely no airport). Basically had most of the beach to myself. No vendors, almost no other foreigners. Ko Tao and Koh Pangan were almost untouched. Not sure if there are any really quiet places left... The vibe on Ko Tao looks cool, but too crowded for me. I'm sure you are enjoying the food after Cuba! If it weren't so hot I would move to Thailand just for the food.

Hi Mike, I’d love to know the name of the buffet breakfast restaurant you went to on the beach? I saw Jumbo in your video, however on maps it shows jumbo with another logo set quite abit away from the beach. Would love to visit the same place for breakfast when we go. Thanks 👍🏻

My wife and I spent 3 months last winter in the Phuket region. After Thailand we flew to Phu Quoc in Vietnam and we liked Vietnam way better. Better value $50 for a true 5 star hotel
Koh Tao!! Great videography. KT.. A paradise, and great vibe where only the cool people hang ;) ... Million dollar sunsets and great viewpoints. Worth getting an open water diving certification whether its PADI or RISK certification on this island. (Cheapest in the world for certification prices)... I will say once it's night time... divers know how to party better ;)
anywhere on the Beach or close to it would be ideal, Its a small island and accommodation books up fast!! So booking ahead of time is a must especially around fullmoon parties

i don't know the name or the Area!!! but from the ferry terminal turn left and stay on that road until the end. You go through town and the road finally ends. hope that helps
