Thanks. How did you know that the silicone seal needed replacing?

@@UpNorthKoiPond The seal fractured and split from the amalgam UV lamp penetrating the seal. I now have a brand new seal in place and covered the seal with a rubber strip (same size) to protect it.

@@HayzeeHayes ah OK, so it wasn't anything to do with dirty water tracking into the clean side, That's good to know. Mine seems good at the moment 👍

@@UpNorthKoiPond That did happen but only because the seal failed/broke, I knew there was a problem as the clean side was getting dirty. New seal solved it though. Really is good to know mate about that 50ma fuse I didn't know it was there. You'll save someone a headache now. 👍

Unfortunately for myself, I'm away from home quite a bit and something that can take a little load off was a must. A drum system fitted the bill for my own circumstances 🙂

You're bang on, it's all about what suits you best to enjoy the hobby . I've got 35 years in the game. My Builds are bottom drain to sieve,Mid water to moving bed via UV,skimmer to Bakki via heater,water quality is very good with Saturday morning maintenance,and 10 x60g feeds daily. Producing very big fish. Most of my customers have Tosai to 55cm within 12 months. Keep your chin up mate,it's a hard nut to crack

In hindsight, I probably didn't need to fit it as I'm only pulling from the one outlet that the drum has, and I can only pull a certain amount through the bio chamber. However if I was to ever tap in another outlet on the clean side of the drum, the high flow screen will be super handy.👍
