McAmber The fry in this video are from birth to about 4/5 months old. Factors such as food type, temperature, water quality etc can all impact growth rate.
hi, really nice koi.. by the way, were one of the parents a chagoi?? cause chagoi are known for their dark almost copper like color, and the most friendly.. the fry seems to be friendly..
what did you feed them when they were only a few days old, my eggs just hatched out, and i have never done this before so im kinda freaking out what to feed them
D Godfrey They have an egg sack that lasts a few days and then after that I began to feed them brine shrimp, which you can hatch quite easily, you should be able to purchase the eggs online or you can get freeze dried brine shrimp as an alternative.
Ros If you can provide an aquarium with adequate filtration and oxygen levels yes. If they are in the pond with the parent fish the risk of predation would be very high.
anadelia mahinay The live food is hatched brine shrimp ( you can also buy instant brine shrimp that you soak for 10minutes ) once they are about 2 weeks old you can feed them koi fry food aswell , which you can get in different sizes from powder to micro pellet.
They are live brine shrimp, you hatch them from eggs that you can purchase online. They provide a fresh food source that greatly improves growth rates and is a good food until they are able to eat powdered food.
