Hi Tobias sounds like a busy time and all the rain ☔️ we have had a lot here too .. them bird feeders look cool and that plant 🌱 is growing like crazy .. great video 👊🏼

I’m thinking about making a pool pond too. I was wondering if I should get a pond liner for inside the pool as an extra layer of protection I have a 8 inch red eared slider and a few large goldfish and planning to add more do you think a pond liner is necessary?

Nice! Yeah personally I haven't had a problem with the 2 pool ponds I've had, but also, I've never had a pool pond longer than 3 years, so I really don't know how long they last, but I imagine having a pond liner would give it some extra strength

I didn't see the spider plant. How did that end of doing?

Yeah I ended up taking them out. I had the spider plants in there for a while, but the problem with the hooks I made for them was that I really had to be on top of keeping my water level high enough for the plants. Unfortunately I wasn't so on top of things and the spider plants ended up not doing so well and I took them out.

Can I use a swimming pool pump for a pool pond?

I suppose just the actual pump itself would probably be ok, but pool pumps typically use way more electricity than pond pumps. Also a pool pump is usually only on for a couple hours a day, so I'm not sure if a pool pump would last, with having it on 24/7 as a pond pump. So personally, I would just recommend getting a pond pump.

There are some pond pumps that has a strainer basket on the front of the pump

Hi Aquamigo!!! I never got a notification that you uploaded a new video. I just came to check. Great update!! I sure do miss seeing your videos. Looking forward to seeing all your product reviews, and painting of the pond. It sure will be awesome watching you finish the filtration on the pond. Glad you're back. ❤

Thank you Aquamigo! Do you have any tips for getting rid of the algae? I think I'll just pull it out, but I wonder if it will just grow back

@@TobiasHolenstein I tried to remove it but it grew all back. So I'm on same boat as you. I might have to do a 90% water change

@@Danielpersonal23 Oh ok I see. I guess I'll just pull it all out and hope for the best. The weird thing is that it is only growing in my 15 gallon and not my other tanks

Hey Aquamigo, I know the feeling…I’ve been super busy with a new job as well as too much rain here. I hope we’ve seen the last of it for a while, as you can imagine it takes forever for the water to get absorbed by the dirt we have here. Thanks for the update.

Hi Aquamigo! Oh yes exactly, the spring will definitely be our time to shine with getting work done on our ponds. My weather forecast says I'll have about 1 week with no rain, so hopefully I'll be able to get something done during this time
