i get you I initially dropped this show for this reason too but I watched it on a friends recommendations and though i still find it a little creepy I surprising loved it
Who cares if it’s a 10 year difference. Why is everyone hung up on age. Both families know each other and approve of them being together. I married a man 21 years older then me. I tried dating in my age group didn’t work out well to immature for me. I guess what I am trying to say is love happens and the age shouldn’t matter he wants to wait for her. In the mean time they will get to know each other and the love will bloom even more.
To be honest, I don't know why can't Ichika and Ryo end up with the people their age, I mean, the co worker is just like Ichika but way older and the guy is her classmate and is nice. I feel the mangaka never gave a good reason of why they didn't end up liking them. Ichika just kind of fell in love with Ryo out of nowhere and Ryo... well he is weird.
In realitt, its just cuz it was their first person they met like that. I feel if ryo met the coworker first then it would be fine. Same goes for tamaru and the girl.

I reckon forget about the girl and the two hot guys get together instead, that would be a more satisfying arc for me 😉 imagine if the accidental BL aisle in the shop was foreshadowing…They look great together in the manga shop, just sayin 😏
It's much more tolerable than your narrow mindedness. Why do others think their culture should be followed by others? Legal age is 18 to some, to others 13 and others 15. Grow up. Their country does not follow your country's legal age culture, and they do not need to.
