Filipino Cedeno doesn't keep the lineal championship for long, as vulnerable southpaw puncher Kobayashi overwhelms him inside two rounds with his big left hand.
That's just the way it is in boxing. Once you get nailed by a hard punch and get dazed, it's all over. The other guy will just hammer away at you and knock you out . He won't give you any chance to recover. Cedeno foolishly kept getting up immediately each time after getting knocked down. Then he goes toe to toe with Kobayashi and throws wild punches. No chance of winning. He should've stayed down after each kd and taken the full count. Then instead of slugging it out, tie up Kobayashi by clinching and lasting out the round. He was the defending champion, after all. No need for suicidal tactics. That would've been his only chance.
Kobayashi was 5' 7" tall. What a wild time this was for the WBC belt. And this after Cedeno had walked through everything that Charlie Magri had thrown at him to win the title in London.
How tall was Kobayashi? Cedeno I'm sure was used to always being the tallest guy in the ring, and he fought like it. He kept fighting the taller Kobayashi at too far a distance and kept his head right in perfect position to get nailed by that straight left.
masyadong malayo ang estilo noon at ngayon, mas maraming magagaling na pinoy kaysa dati.kulang sa depensa c Cedeño.parang ginawang panangga ang panga!! COACH NG DAVAO.
