Koko is a beauty! ❤ Is Koko a girl, or a boy? I can see the parrot has red in it's wings (found in males), but it's not very dominant the amount of red feathers, my parrot was also like that (a little bet less red in the wings, actually), and it always confused me whether she was a she... Or a he O.o
+Laura Lala Hi Laura, Koko is a male, I got a blood test to sex him, to me its important to do blood test for sexing parrots then you know if its a female to keep me aware so the parrot doesn't get egg bind and has enough calcium also to make sure they are healthy.

I don't know the age, I got him from someone that saved him from abused they didn't know the age, the way I understand to tell the sex is with blood tests Paul, that's how I got KoKo and Teeka my grey sexed

Hi Sunclief, for me its hard without seeing your amazon, this video I just had KoKo a couple of days he was 12 yrs old and abused so he was nervous and nasty for about a month. I gave him a couple of weeks to get to know me and his new home then took a deep breathe and when he was out of his cage I just picked him up with my fingers under his chest gave him a few pieces of cashew unshell which he loves, he enjoys sitting on my shoulders and hand but over a year still cant touch his back I can boo his belly and tickle it but because of his pass he wont let me touch him to cuddle which is fine I understand, so depending on his age his background to me watch his eyes they will let you know how he is feeling if they are going big to small not a good thing at all he is upset. An Amazon in full display has its neck feathers raised, wings flexed, tail feathers fanned, its eyes flashing, and the bird is strutting: that is a bird that will probably draw blood if you try to pick it up. Try not to be scared around him he will know and will use that against you and trust me when they bite it hurts like hell, but give him a couple of weeks talk to him a lot, give him fruit and veggie treats to win he over hopefully he wasnt an abused bird and it should work out fine, good luck with your new baby hope this help some and enjoy him.

Everything takes time Paul, some birds are also slower than others but with patience, time and love even when you get bit which you probably will tell you figure out he/she out and not get he/she signs wrong but just keep loving on he/she, have a great time with you baby
Is he still there? I read an information from other amazon owners that when their bird are noisy, one alternative way to stop screaming is to spray it using a water bottle, as if they are having a bath. 😊
