Hope you enjoy this video, there's gonna be another one in a week with the second part of the carnival week! What traditions do you have in your country to honour the dead ?
I loved this video! I am a first generation Greek/American my family also made prosfero bread and Kolivo but my mother called it sitari. We also loved having it after church. So delicious. Wonderful traditions. Thanks for bring me closer to my Greek heritage!
I was going to listen to some music and read my book, but this popped up and I have to postpone reading for a while. We have to have priorities in life you see.
I don't get why some youtube channels "blow up" and some are so underrated. It's so relaxing to watch. Thank you for showing us your traditions! I've never heard about koliva exchanging. So nice!
Wow, I think this is one of your best... I am very curious to know the recipe of this Koliva, it looks delicious! and the old lady looks so very sweet! Kudos
I have no words... thank you so much for this contribution! This goes a very long way, I'm so touched that you would spend this amount on this video, it really means a lot! 😊🥰
Hahaha thank you! I really want to have some chickens, but as I still don't live here full time I can't take on such a big responsibility. But maybe in the future! 😊
I love village life so peacefull. I was born in a village in Cyprus and i left when i was 23.I always thinking about the village life.thank you for remind me what life was in the villages.
Great video..im.so glad it came out today, as i had a fight and im tired so was nice to watch your episode. I wish they were 1 hr long thought. I encourage you to do them 1hr long even though it takes a lot of work, it brings more revenue and more subscribers as well. GIVE THE PPL WHAT THEY WANT. ❤
Hahaha I'm glad you enjoyed it! One hour long episode is really hard to do with no budget, eventually when I'll be able to gain a bit from RU-vid I'll be able to make longer episodes. But for now I hope you'll still enjoy the 20-ish minute content 😊
Subscribed… may I ask what part of Greece ur in? I just recently visited lixouri and maloui .such a beautiful country! Anyways, I really enjoy ur videos
Love your videos. We're planning on visiting and touring round the peloponnese region with a view to relocating. What sort of area are you in as it looks idyllic. We have a little three year old and are looking for a lovely small community ❤
Thank you for your sweet comment! As much as I would rather the village to remain unnamed, I can advise you to visit one of the prettiest places I have seen in the Peloponnese, which is the small community of Koroni in the south. This is also where many baby turtles hatch each summer, and the nature is truly breathtaking. It's in proximity to Kalamata too in case you want to go to the city once in a while. Oh and you should also visit Nafplio (and eat ice cream there, there's some amazing shops!) Hope you enjoy !
Haha that's amazing ! I'm glad to see that people keep the traditions even in Australia! The Koliva tradition has been forgotten in many places, including partly Athens, and is now observed mainly in rural villages. I'm glad your mother is doing the best Koliva in Sydney, that's amazing 😊
