Kolkata Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Internal airport or Kolkata Airport Or Dum Dum Airport is the 6th busiest airport in the country. But the government run airport Authority of India is constructing the airport as a modern airport day by day by modernization of the runway, taxiway, Parking, new ATC Tower, now all has done and at the end by August 2024 they are to demolish the old 2 terminal and to built new U shaped terminal just next to the existing operational terminal. Costs around 5 thousands CR INR.

The cab sandicate needs to be removed first. Both state n central govt. should work together to improve the situation. This airport is not at all comparable to other domestic airports of Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad or Bangalore

ভালো, কিন্তু কলকাতা এয়ারপোর্টের মেইনটেন্যান্স বেশ বাজে। সুন্দর একটা এয়ারপোর্ট শুধু মাত্র সরকারি উদাসীনতায় নোংড়া হয়ে যাচ্ছে। মেইনটেন্যান্স টা যদি বেসরকারি পর্যায়ে করা যায় তাহলে দেখতেও ভালো লাগে

এরপরের কোন উপস্থাপনায় একটা পরিসংখ্যান দেবেন তো - কলকাতা থেকে রোজ কত যাত্রী দেশের অন্যান্য শহরে গিয়ে ইউরোপ আমেরিকা যাবার বিমান ধরে? আমার ধারণা সংখ্যাটা অন্ততঃ হাজার তিনেক। যাতে অনায়াসেই এইসব রুটে কলকাতা থেকে সরাসরি বিমান পরিসেবা চালু হতে পারে। এছাড়াও আছে মধ্যপ্রাচ্য এবং অস্ট্রেলিয়া।

কী দরকার? ফ্লাইটই তো নেই কোলকাতা থেকে অথবা ভায়া কোলকাতা। ভারতের মধ‍্যে ৫এ নেমে গেছিল বেশ ক'বছর আগেই। এই বছর নেমে গেছে ৬ নম্বরে।
