I am a twelfth-grader and I wasn't realising the severity of such cases on women untill I began to bump into subtle things in my school that serve as the "inducers" for such crimes ( things like cat-calling which often are results of peer-pressure to be like everybody else , no dedicated sessions to shine light on students about these in the right way etc. ) I am now a part of the students' council in my school and I want you to know that you're not alone in this pursuit. I have been trying to straighten things out in students and I will do it with much passion onwards. I want you to know that you're doing the absolute right thing and again , you're not alone.

Every country has a problem. Let's try to solve the problem instead of yapping around like a child. If you don't like to be called an Indian then get the frick out of this country.
As a man, this truly disgusts me. We need to stop victim blaming and educate ourselves. it is seriously disgusting that how the collage had tried to erase the evidence by the name of 'renovation'. I am currently preparing for my NEET exam, I know how hard it is to clear the PG, her and her parents definitely might have sacrificed a lot to see their daughter as a PG student. It literally takes years of hard work and a stranger just destroyed everything within minutes. IMO there is no point to live in this country where women are being brutally raped and killed in the duty hour itself and that too in a govt hospital. These type of cases just shatters the confidence of parents to send their daughters outside of their house. The rapist must be punished in the most cruel way as same as the crime he did. Even after 78 years of indepence we women are not even safe at our own surroundings, shameful to be an Indian. CELEBRATING 78th INDEPENDENCE AT WHAT COST!
Madam, Not sure, how it is related to the country's independence from a foreign coloniser. Country being independent does not guarantee any additional safety for men or women.
@@DesmondRaj-tm8im I am not relating it to the independence, what I am trying to say is its been 78 years since we ppl managed to frame our own govt and laws. Now our country have improved a lot in various fields but still lacks to give proper security to the women living here. It's a basic need man! A country is definitely responsible for the safety of men and women. Just my opinions.
@@Sriharshini-l7e Yes Madam, agree with you. But for our population to build infrastructure to provide security to all woman is highly not practical. The resignation of Dr Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College, was not accepted by the West Bengal Government. He was instead transferred to the Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital (CNMCH) to serve as its principle where he was blocked by the Professor and Student protestants from entering the office.
As a man it is disturbing to see such cases, as you have mentioned the best way to avoid these are by taking the precautions by the side of govt, placing camera in public places, increasing the police patrol etc., And personally I have seen boys seeing women as objects of saax, this mentality is getting into their mind by the consumption of pornography as far as I have seen personally. And another reason is not having a proper family support
I'm glad you talked about the punishment part. Rapists know that they will be punished for their action yet they do it in the confidence of the incident not getting reported to the police. According to data 70 percent of rape and harrassment is done by the ones close to the victim (friends or relatives) and it is often suppressed by his/her family members. Instead of talking about the punishment (yes punishments should be made harsher but its only secondary. In Hyderabad the suspects were encountered by police and people celebrated but did rape cases stop?) we should focus on changing the mindset (especially the rule of boys shouldn't talk to girls) and the chance of getting caught.
I would like to add one point: Given the polic to public ratio of India to be one of the lowest, if we voice for the sexual assaults of the oppressed class (those that are really at the bottom of the social hierarchy), then it helps better handling of the remaining and the incoming cases. I personally believe we are negligent towards the problems of the lower class. Some of the might ask now, "Why are you diverting this issue into oppression/caste oppression?" Because, if we voice for the voiceless lower class, 1. We are showing more resistence. 2. The number of cases will eventually drop down slowly and slowly. 3. It enables the more accessible class of the society to handle the remaining issues better.
I do feel that the mainstream content especially the vadaku and telugu cinemas still glorify male dominance over anything else which obv leads to them being entitled to be respected and worshipped 🥲
Now a days being a girl feeling very hard to live in this India .....here culprit are roaming freely but where as women are blamed for not wearing a proper dress ,omg if we talk their to no pull stop for that ....... 1.educating men and kids about this which is a mandatory thing, will be a long term solution, 2. Banning all types of drugs is very important to stop this shit immediately 3. Giving hard punishments for this type of crimes will also helps to stop this immediately But note ( there are two types of men , number one is they'll do this kind of shits even if they are not in high , so this type of men will get scared by hardest punishments) and there is no 2 type of men they are doing this because they are high ( they can't feel fear when they are high , so we need to stop all kind of drugs to stop this kind of men) And the mandatory one is we need to educate our son and male frends ,this will help us to create a good and comfortable society for women
