দ্বিতীয় রানওয়ে টা বাড়াতে পারছে না একটা মসজিদ আছে বলে। বহু বছর ধরে এটা সমস্যা। সবার আগে দরকার মসজিদ সরিয়ে দুটো সমান্তরাল রানওয়ে। তবেই নতুন টার্মিনাল সম্পূর্ণ কাজে আসবে। ঘণ্টায় অন্তত ৬০ টা প্লেন ওঠানামার ব্যাবস্থা দরকার।
@@pinakichandrasaha4882 সেটা আগেও পারতো মূল রানওয়ে তে। মূল রান ওয়ে টা ৩৮০০ মিটার লম্বা। সমস্যা টা নামা নয়। পাকাপাকি অপারেট করা। ৭৪৭ খুব কম এ্যারলাইন্স ই ব্যাবহার করে তাও খুব কম রুটে। ৭৭৭ নিয়মিত অপারেট করা সমস্যা ছিল এখন হয়ত একটু মিটবে।কিন্তু যথেষ্ট নয় একটা আন্তর্জাতিক বিমান বন্দর এর জন্য।

You don’t get the point; for European and American carriers to come they need well paying Business Class passengers. There are very few people will pay for a Business Class fare of $10,000 in Kolkata. Etihad, Emirates, Singapore come since they ferry workers to Middle East.

Last EU flight was in 2012 by Lufthansa, restarted to LHR by AI during covid and then because of AI's own issues stopped. And Kolkata has the third largest GDP...please do some research. Additionally, if you see, Air India is discontinuing their Bangkok flight from January, similarly Indigo is discontinuing some of their domestic flights to Amritsar and Kochi.
