Hello,
This is the first video of my Dooars Road Trip series. In this video I will show you the route from Kolkata to Raigunj, and in the next video I will show you our journey from Raigunj to Dooars. If anyone is planning to go from Kolkata to Siliguri, Darjeeling or Dooars, then this video will be very helpful for you. If you are planning to go to Siliguri from Kolkata in 2022, then please see the entire video. I have added all the details - including road condition, tolls, best route to take, best roads, etc. in this video. I took to route to Raigunj via Burdwan, and I would request you to please avoid this route! That route is pathetic, and Moregram Panagarh Highway is the worse highway I have ever seen! I travel with my parents most of the time and this time I planned on doing this dooars road trip. Kolkata to Siliguri or North Bengal has many routes, and in this video I am trying to suggest you the best route from Kolkata to Dooars.

Video r uposthapona khub bhalo laglo. Travel safe. Ami bochhore 2-3 bar Kolkata- Guwahati up-down kori kormosutre. Ami Dumka- Bhagalpur-Purnia route e Siliguri Jai. 90 Km beshi hoi, kintu rasta anek beshi scenic, drivable o chokepoint free. Jodio odhikangsho rasta e 2 lane.

Yes you are right. Asole amar camera/mobile ta mount kora thakena gaari te, ar tokhon etotai baaje haal hoechlo moregram er okhane, j chap e tolai hoini, eto rasta dekhte hocchilo. I went to Darjeeling last month. I took this way below: Kolkata -Dankuni-Mogra-Dhatrigram-Samudragarh - Nabadwip- Krishnagar - sargachi- baharampur - Morgam -farakka- Malda bypass-Raiganj -botolbari - dhantola - Islampur- bagdogra -Siliguri. This is the best route now to avoid any glitches. 80% 4 lane 20% 2 lane. But Road condition is very good. It will take 12 hours total from Kolkata to Siliguri including 1 hour deep break.Badshahi Road was good before pandemic.

বর্ধমান ওভারব্রিজ থেকে যখন নামছেন ডান দিকে মানে পূর্ব দিকে গেলে কালনা। আপনারা যাচ্ছেন কাটোয়ার দিকে কিন্তু নর্জা থেকে রাস্তা টা ভাগ হয়। যাই হোক আহমদপুর কীর্নাহার (প্রণব মুখার্জীর বাড়ি) রোড গুগল ম্যাপ এ দেখাচ্ছে।

Acha. Thank you for sharing this. Eto durer rastai gele oi google map e bhorsha, jerom dekhachlo oi dekhei cholechi. Haa amra kalna teo gechilam, oi rasta ta onno kchu. Kintu odiker rasta jaa baaje, ferar somai bhalo rasta diye esechi.

Nicely documented. Next time you may wish to take the Mogra route via Old Delhi Road. Cross Nabadwip and Krishnanagar and proceed towards North Bengal. Roads are narrow but well surfaced and you will be spared of the Kuli - Futishankho horror!

From Raigunj it took 6 hours approx. We wanted to visit Banglabandha zero point, hence took a little detour. If you drive continuously, it will take less than 5 hours, provided there in no traffic.

It appears you did not watch the videos of motorist who have recently traveled by this route to north Bengal. They all said not to travel this route even by mistake.

Actually i saw many videos, but many people also said not to take krishnanagar route! Hence I thought of taking this route! Learnt it the hard way, sadly!
