I was in Kolkata during late 80's to early 90's (Calcutta during those days) as a secondary school student. I could only go close to sweets, nothing else, no street food, no local delicacies, nothing! Given a chance I won't give second thought of re-visiting the City of Joy & trying out the whole of Bengal, it culture, tourism spots & of course it's local lip smacking cusines. A word about Mr. Bali, he is more of a foodie than a travel vlogger.. 🙂👍

Harish ji ,Next time when you come to West Bengal I suggest you to visit Nabadwip and Mayapur dham , the birthplace of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and world's largest ISCKON temple is there in Mayapur.. you will love the natural beauty as well as the food served in the temple . Love from West Bengal.
No sir . Rasgulla invented in Bengal . We already got G I tag . Odisha version is different and they also got GI tag . But all over India as well as abroad Bengali version of Rasgulla(Rosogolla) is most famous
I miss Kolkata foods. Its really a paradise for food lovers. I am also a food lover. Its the cheapest place for variety of foods. And after watching your video I got nostalgic about the place again. Revisiting my memory lane. Delhi is also another place for food lovers where you get foods in cheaper prices and excellent choices for foods. Delhi and Kolkata are my two favorite cities and these two metro cities come in best position in the cases of foods,shopping and fun and enjoyment.

Jab fry ho jata hai to wo ek jaali ki tarah najar aata hai ..tab fried fish ko wo ande ke jali me lapeta jata hai.
Calcutta has a different feel to it, this city has such a unique and great character. This is one of the city i am fond of. I watch all movies based on Calcutta, like Kahaani, Raincoat, Parineeta, Byomkesh Bakshi and admire the actors from West Bengal. Superb Vlog!!

Lol you are obviously a TMC supporter. I have been living in Kolkata for the past 19 years and it's literally not up to the mark that it should be as compared to Delhi. New Delhi's infrastructure is much better as compared to Kolkata. I have been to Delhi a few times.

You have covered kolkata very well. Each time when you the simplicity of food feels like at home. I have seen all of your videos most of the famous restaurant is well covered. you should also visit some huge tea shops in Bada bazaar, Fancy market kidder pore, street food of metia bruz, National Library, Minto park, metro stations of any one. I am from barrack-pore and i was wondering weather you will visit there or not but you visited that place.

@@Jaiho660 I also heard that KC Das who invented Rosgulla is an Oriya. And quality of Rosgulla available in Puri is far better than that of Kolkata and price is also cheaper in puri.
Yes you are right Harish ji. Rasagullas are being offered in jagannath temple, puri as prasad from times immemorial. It was mentioned in Madala panji also which is called as an only encyclopedia related to temple's rituals. But bengalis marketed rasagulla well and most of the people have a perception that rasagulla was invented in west bengal.

For kachuri , torkari . Kachuri fried in ghee is not authentic Bengali kachuri, if u really want to taste good kachuri torkari, try under Sealdah flyover, only condition is u shouldnt care much about hygiene.
Try to visit Kolkata during Durga Puja..U can walk and see loads of pandals and lightened streets. If you come during Christmas time do visit Park Street. Other places to visit in Bengal:Darjeeling,Dooars,Murshidabad,Digha
