Polonyna Krasna is a mountain massif, so you will definitely hear about it during your trip through the Carpathians. It is located in the Tyachiv and Mizhhirsky districts of Zakarpattia Oblast and is part of the Polony Beskids.
Polonyna Krasna borders the Bovtsarsko-Verkh massif on the western side and the Volovetsko-Mizhhirsky upland on the north. There are many rivers around it: Teremva and Mokryanka rivers to the east and northeast, Luzhanka and Tereshilka rivers to the south and southwest, Velika Ugolka and Mala Ugolka to the southeast. The Polonyna Krasna ridge consists mainly of flysch (sedimentary rocks). Rest in the Carpathians means a lot of clean mountain air and this mountain range is not excluded, although it is covered with forests (mostly beech). At the top of the slope, steep places are difficult to reach.
The highest mountain of the Polonyna Krasna massif is Siglansky mountain (1,563 meters above sea level). The highlight of a trip through the Carpathians is an optional climb to the top. You can visit the Kernych Botanical Reserve, which is located in the eastern part of the massif. When Plonina Krasna became part of the Czech Republic (1936), a nature reserve of the same name was created on its territory. The north-western slopes are located within the Synevyr National Park. A marked tourist route has been laid through the Polonyna Krasna massif, so your vacation in the Carpathians will be interesting and safe.
The route through the Krasna meadow The main routes start from the villages of Kolochava, Ust-Chorna or Krasna. From Kolochava there are many trails up, the main ones marked. Markers and pointers can be seen if you walk along the road from the monument "To the Workers" to the east through the village. The optimal option for climbing from the south-eastern side is the route through Mount Uhorska or Mount Hawaisgavor.
Polonyna Krasna is a mountain massif in the Ukrainian Carpathians. It is located in the Tyachiv and (partly) Mizhhirsky districts of the Zakarpattia region.
Polonyna Krasna is part of the Polonyna Beskydy. It stretches from the northwest to the southeast in several conflicts with connected arcs with numerous offshoots-ridges (for example, the Krasny Verkh ridge, which is south of the village of Kolochava).
On the west borders the Bovtsarsko-Verkhsky landscape (which separates Polonyna Krasna from Polonyna Borzhava), on the N. - with the Volovets-Mizhhirsky upland (Synevir landscape), to the east. and Mon. Sh. - with the Teresva and Mokryanka river valleys, to the south. and Pd. ex. - with the valleys of the Luzhanka, Tereshilka and Krasny rivers, to the south. Sh. - Velika Ugolka and Mala Ugolka.
The highest mountain of the massif is Siglanskyi (1563 m). The array consists mainly of flash. Up to a height of 1,300-1,500 m, it is covered with forests (mostly beech) and hemlock, and above it is covered with pine forests. The top slopes are steep, sometimes difficult to access.
The southern and southwestern slopes of the western part of Polonyna Krasnaya are located within the boundaries of the Ugolsko-Shyrokoluzhansky reserve massif (the Shirokoluzhana area), the northwestern slopes are within the boundaries of the Synevyr National Park. In the eastern part of the massif, not far from the village of Ust-Chorna, there is the Kernych Botanical Reserve.
A marked tourist route is laid through the massif.
In 1936, thanks to the efforts of the Czech botanist Alois Zlatnyk, the Polonina Krasna nature reserve was created here.
Some refer to Polonyna Krasnaya as well as Mount Menchul (1501 m), which rises as a separate massif in the southwest of Krasnaya. But Menchul belongs rather to the so-called island mountains, that is, mountains that are not connected to a certain ridge. However, in a broader sense, not only the main ridge belongs to the Krasna massif, but also all the mountains (including Menchul) that lie south of the ridge, in the confluence of the Terebli and Teresva rivers.
