One of the best videos I have seen on Maldives. I am going g in late 2021 and do a lot of diving. Do you think the reefs at Komondoo are stil, as amazing as when you visited ? What is the hotel rate at Komandoo resort ?
Hi Shah. The reef did take a hit a few years back, but I thought in January this year there were signs of it coming back. The sea life is just as wonderful as always. In terms of the Komandoo rate given the permutations of dates, villa type, meal plan you're probably best using the Komandoo website.

Thanks Tom. I think the issues with the edges is due to the Stabilising enhancement on RU-vid. It struggles where there is a lot of 'shake' typically at the edge of the shot so there is a bit of picture warping. Overall I think its worth using the stabiliser as the original video was taken with the camera at the end of a three foot pole and you cant help bob up and down in the sea so I ended up with quite a bit of shake.
Lukas Krug Hi Lukas yes it was shot at 720 at 50fps. I have to say I didn't really select the fps, it was the default option the camera came up with when I selected 720. I shot this years video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lKDsnv6DIpc.html at 1080 and it was superb and I used the narrow lens option too. I used the wide angle last year as I was new to the camera and as it doesnt have a viewfinder I decided to go wide to make sure I got everything in shot.
Darryl Carter Have heard good things about Reethi Beach from people we met on Komandoo. Views on Kuredu were a bit mixed. One thing is for sure Komandoo is a quiet, peaceful, laid back island so dont expect lots of organised day or night time activities. As (hopefully) you can see from my video the islands house reef is fantastic and is very close into the island. Good dive school too. Hope you have a great trip there
