First of all, there are the "Twelve Waterfalls". The riverbed in this area is all rocky. Since the Goya River falls in 12 streams, it was named "Twelve Waterfalls". The best time to see it is from April to June, when the amount of water increases due to melting snow and the flow becomes vigorous. From late April to early May, carp streamers are hung over the waterfall. The carp streamers swimming on the waterfall make the "Twelve Waterfalls" even more beautiful.
It is "Elephant Rock". A long time ago, it rained continuously in this area for more than a month, causing a major flood that washed away sediment, rocks, large trees, etc. When the villagers came here after the rain stopped, they found this rock remaining. It is said that the shape of the rock resembles an elephant, so it was named "elephant rock". It is said that "Elephant Rock" became an ancient village in the hearts of the villagers.

It is "Kannon Mountain". Legend has it that about 300 years ago, a statue of Guanyin under Guanyin was stolen by thieves. On the way out, the thief threw the statue into the river as it gradually became heavier, and ran away. A traveler passing by the river found a statue of Guanyin and dedicated it. It is said that the villagers moved the temple to a safer rock cave and built another Kanzeon Bodhisattva to enshrine it. The current hall was rebuilt in June 1865.
It is "Eboshi Rock". It is a large rock with a height of about 27 meters in the lower reaches of the Nishimata river, just above the Nishimata traffic of Kaniyama,and its shape resembles the shape of a raven hat, so it was given this name, and the villagers revered it as IWAKAMI-SAMA.
It is "Trout Falls". In the past, this waterfall was named
"Trout Dome Falls" because it was a waterfall even if trout came upstream, so it could not climb any further upstream.
