Honestly, NGE happening in Unova makes sense because only Unova has a Pokémon wishing to become whole again and involves physical union of some entities.
@@Hardrian_Hardrada_Cicero gen 6 literally let you catch the most Pokémon overall. Of course xy alone didn't do it. But add oras into it and it's a completely different story
It really spoke to Hilbert too (about being whole again by being part of the original Kyurem-Hilda union.) And Hilbert basically had such a lonely life, defeating Ghetsis by himself and seeing N die and the fallout between him and Iris, in addition to being neglected in general and dismissed and how he has to keep chasing being the Unovan champion (which is why he can’t run from trainer battles), even though this motivation is more akin to Asuka’s.
I just can’t believe this game ended with the playable character strangling Iris, that just felt so disappointing, like they learned nothing about making friends on their journey…
I thought the point was to illustrate that Hilbert had lost his sanity for some reason (likely by staying in ruined Unova for a very long time by himself) and strangled the first person he saw, maybe even to kill them, to prove they were real.
N telling Nate “You’re worthy of my affection” really hit my kokoro. That long still shot of Zekrom holding him until he was crushed was chilling. Heartbreaking, but he had to do the right thing as N clung to a false hope and wished for death
Imagine Hilbert's disbelief when N was actually an Angel. :( On a side note, N as Kaworu (not exactly pictured here, I guess) is very fitting. I think both see themselves as some sort of savior. Well, Kaworu is portrayed as one, while N believes he is.
I’m gonna play this in the 2024 Pokémon Day Presents if BW remakes and Legends: Unova don’t get revealed Edit: Third Impact has started, all that waiting for a Legends: Kalos game
First GBA/RSE, then HGSS, and now BW! Now someone needs to make something for gen 1 and 2. Maybe gens 6+ (Also I *love* the violin in this arrangement)
Basically, they pretend that certain characters in Unova are basically Neon Genesis Evangelion and reference End of Evangelion stuff because this is Komm, Susser Todd in Black/White soundfonts.
