"i've waited so long for this moment to arrive, i can finally be with you again, Hinawa. when lucas is near me, all i ever do is cause him pain. it was better when i did nothing at all."
But Flint still cared about Lucas, at the end of the game. Plus he's a good dad. Not like Gendo. Flint says that he's not with Lucas because he became strong, but Shinji didn't.
@Davio Q Perhaps it's because of Giygas. You must remember that MOTHER 3 was present 1,000 or 10,000 years after EarthBound. He could mean from a different time, or MOTHER 1 and 2 are from a different world? You may never know...
End of Eva's ending is weird because the only sign that it's supposed to be a happy ending comes from the film poster, showing a whole lot more people starting to rematerialize underneath the Rei apparition that Shinji gazes at.
@@VinchVolti disagree. the happy ending is absolutely ambiguous, but the poster isn’t the only thing. it’s the fact that asuka escaped, too. if shinji was left alone on that beach, the only person to have come back from instrumentality, it would be a far more obviously bad ending. but he isn’t. asuka returned from instrumentality. that means other people can return too. and the scene of shinji strangling asuka being representative of him proving that he’s no longer within the collective of humanity and asuka’s reassurance, the most gentle and kind she has ever treated shinji, while also calling him disgusting, proves to shinji that they’re both real. ultimately it means it’s not only possible the rest of humanity can return, but likely, so long as they come to accept that which they despise so much about themselves.
I've heard a theory about Mother 3 in which the masked man pulling the final needle would just cause time to continue on as it is because he's really not that evil.
@@Grachtnakk Because Yoobii, Hideaki Anno, Kill Em All Tomino, Kojima, Yoko Taro, Shigesato Itoi, and Kamile's beam confuse of almighty positivity to meme it all, I guess.
@@Grachtnakk "All happy is just a distraction from how the world actually sucks", said one depressed hikikomori boy who liked wearing stockings vice versa.
Mother 3 - The Third Impact! Where Giygas' final plan for total nothingness succeeds and he does it through a boy who has lost his family and an angry dragon.
Yes, there are strong evidences that Mother 3 was actually inspired by Neon Genesis Evangelion. Some even theorize that Nintendo did it because of the Mach Pizza reference in the anime.
The world ended. Humanity moved to the final place still livable. Instead of taking responsibility for the destruction of the world, they choose to forget. We play as one of their offspring. Eventually, we learn of what happened, right before the grand finale, right before we end the utopia that was meant to be humanity's final stand. Kinda depressing ngl
Can we (not) get a localization already?!? Lucas has now appeared in _3 Smash Bros titles,_ yet Mother 3 is _somehow_ still a Japan-only title. It's time.
honestly i doubt it'll happen especially when Nintendo themselves said to just use the patch and said patch is better than anything Nintendo could have done without censoring parts of the script
Lucas has pulled the final needle. The twisted, corrupted world Porky had created was coming to an end. Porky sits alone, battered and bruised, in the absolutely safe capsule as he hears the sounds of the world being recreated by the Dark Dragon. A sickening, toothy grin forms on the immortal boy's face. Porky: For so long, I have waited for this moment with bated breath. At long last we meet again, Ness... A hallucination of his old friend Ness stands in front of the glass window of the capsule with a mournful expression. Porky: I have always known that I would win... I promised I would see this pathetic world come to an end. I finally won the game! How does it feel to be the loser for once? SPANKETY, SPANKETY! AHAHAHAHA! *cough* *wheeze* Ness: ...It's sad to see how far you've fallen, Porky Minch. The incomprehensible amount of time you have lived, all of the hatred that has festered in heart, the horrible things you've done to destroy people's lives has withered away any humanity you had. Porky: I've lived countless life times to know humanity is God's cruel joke. Humanity turned it's back on me, kicked me, spit on me. It turned me into the monster I am! You will never understand the suffering I have endured, mama's boy! Ness: You chose to look away. You turned away and refused to see the love in the world because you were afraid of feeling pain. Afraid of that invisible, formless something that exists between people. As a result, you walled off your heart from the world, didn't you? The ground begins to crack around the capsule. Porky: ...Hehehehe! AHAHAHA! *cough* *wheeze* and now I have reaped the seeds that I have sown... Goodbye, old friend... A giant fissure forms under the absolutely safe capsule, causing it to fall. Porky laughs as he tumbles into the endless darkness of the earth, forever destined to be alone.
@@Qazuela Actually that makes perfect sense! Both of them used the powers of a godlike being to nearly destroy the entire world, when you think about it, and the fact that Rei is essentially a clone of Shinji's mom kind of makes the two of them almost like siblings, or just family in general... that may be a stretch, but that's the best I got XD It made more sense in my head anyway.
